...hello classmates...
...it's nearly a month now since we had our reunion...but like all of you parang kailan lang...the effect of the reunion on all of us was that on the epiphany...while the rest of the world were greeting each other with "happy three kings"...we were all texting around reminding each other of the fourth king...
...there were just nineteen of us physically present during the reunion...but let us not forget those who were part of the planning but for some reason weren't able to make it...from team USA...manny...henry and josie...who were part of the reunion in LA...and maan...who contributed her ideas...and more...and carmen who met with us until before she left for the NY...she called us during the reunion...and dax...who was with us during the first mini reunion...and angie who had to leave a week before the reunion...the baguio group was also able to contact agosto...and chato...they promised to attend...but somehow they missed the reunion...sana next time there would be more of us...
...vivs...evie and i met a week after the reunion...to have an accounting of the reunion finances...we have updated our bank book...the contributions of art...maan...and tom came in...i have deposited 12k to my current account for our project for the science high...and to date we have about 45k in our account...vivs has a more detailed accounting...i went twice to th science high to talk with the acting principal about the communication system...but he was always out...i got his cell and house phone numbers though so i can make an appoinment with him...i will report in the next posting...
...now back to the reunion...aside from me...my son had a great time...i watched him as he confidently talked with many of you...like an adult...ang galing...manang mana sa ina...he...he...he...and while we were singing...he called his mom...and i heard him say..."ma...listen to them...they're so good!"...that was before we sang handel's halleluyah...the next day i asked him what he thought of our reunion...he's just two years out of high school...but he's not as close to his classmates...and he has forgotten most of his classmates and friends from high school...and the more i realized how special ub science high class "73 is...
...last monday i drove my mom to the bus station on her way to manila...and guess what...dinah was on her way home to dau too...dinah kept my mom company atleast up to dau...and knowing my mom...she advised her on life...
...see...that's how close we got to be...even after thirty years...we have become more than brothers and sisters...my son became you son...my mom became your mom...i love you all...
