Some Questions I Would Like To Answer - By Sean Kerrigan

                                  -----------------------

IGNORANT BOB: Isn't Blink 182 a pop-punk band, like Greenday or The Offspring?

MY POINT OF VIEW: Absolutely not, You could say that their sound rather resembles the playing style of Greenday, but there is no raw energy. Without that basic characteristic you cannot call Blink 182 punk.

                                  -----------------------

IGNORANT BOB: Blink 182 and The Goo Goo Dolls used to be good before they started making it big.

MY POINT OF VIEW: Blink 182 and The Goo Goo Dolls were never any good.  There was never any kind of unique sound.

                                  -----------------------

IGNORANT BOB: But they have some loud songs, some even resemble grunge.

MY POINT OF VIEW:   Yeah, but if I make a really loud fart... is that Punk?

                                  -----------------------

IGNORANT BOB: So you don't think it's ok to listen to non-punk based bands then?

MY POINT OF VIEW: Bob, you can listen to anything you want if that is truely the type of music you like.  Punk ethics are based upon doing what you want when you want and not conforming to any particular standard.  Don't listen to a band for weeks and weeks because your friends tell you it's good or because it's the only thing on the radio.  Listen to what makes you feel good.
