MUDHONEY
Mudhoney holds the honor of being called, "The Godfathers Of Grunge".  Mark Arm and Steve Turner were both ex-Green River , the band that later evolved into Pearl Jam.  They are known for taking Sub Pop Records into a new field.  There imfamous single, Touch Me I'm Sick,
became the anthem of the grunge age until the release of NIrvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was released in 1991.
Early support for the band was not especially evident and some considered their debut CD
Supperfuzz Bigmuff a dissapointment, however early supporters such as the now legendary Sonic Youth covered "Touch Me I'm Sick" in support.
        The band eventually left
Sub Pop Records to sign with major lable Warner Brothers Records.
Grunge enthusiast maintain that Mudhoney has never surpassed "Touch Me I'm Sick", however 1995's release "My Brother The Cow" showed the band nearly at it's best.  Other "above average" songs written and performed by Mudhoney was Overblown, a song about The Grunge Revolution and nation's view of Seatlle.  It paints a great picture of what people thought of them at the time.
        After excessive world touring with
Pearl Jam, (which includes highlights of "Into Your Schtick" a song about the late Kurt Cobain) Mark Arm went off to play with Austrailian garage band, Bloodloss.  He soon returned to Mudhoney in 1998 to record "Tomorrow Hit Today".  Other recent Mudhoney albums include "March To Fuzz" and "Here Comes The Sickness".

In recent years Mudhoney has continued to tour with various other acts like Sonic Youth.  However, it seems that Mudhoney as a band has become rather disillusioned about being ignored in the public eye.  Suposidly they are no longer the great live act they were once known for and their shows have become sloppy and anger ridden.
