Women's Livelihood Project
	The November 1991 flood attracted a good number of donors to Ormoc offering to help the flood victims. One of these was the Philippine Development Assistance Program whose funds came from Canada. Since PFI had been organizing women groups starting with Orvena, other women groups in different urban poor communities of the city came into contact with PFI. Many of these would benefit from a loan program for livelihood with the grant extended by PDAP.
	Besides vending, other women groups went into hog raising, goat raising and buy and sell business. The projected was extended to women groups in the municipality of Isabel, 45 kilometere away from the city.
