What is Wicca?

At the centre of wicca are the God and Goddess. The are considered omnipresent, and usually are not seen as having a physical shape, however we use human figures like patron Gods and Goddesses to represent Them. This is because it is easier for us as humans to relate to them if the have a physical shape.

Wicca is a nature based religion. Wiccans are very caring towards the environment. We consider mother earth as sacred, given to us by the Lady and Lord, and so we feel responsible for it. Therefore you will find that many wiccans take part in environmental campaigns, go on peace protests and help with animal rights.

Enscribed in Wicca is the ancient doctrine of Reincarnation. This is a very controversial topic, and as a result of that I will not go into lengthy details here as this is only a basic outline of the religion. Also there are many variations of the theory of reincarnation inside wicca, so I will not elaborate, so as to avoid confusion.

Wicca is a harmonious, peace loving religion that desagrees with anysort of war or conflict. This is due to the belief in the three fold law. Any bad that you did, will return to you later, but three times as bad. Also conflict does not achieve anything. War certainly not. Above anything, war is a waste of lives, a waste of resources, and harms the environment.

The basic principel and moto of the Wiccan religion is: "An it harm none, do what ye will".
