W. Kennet Long Barrow
This is a very impressive neolithic long barrow. it is 320 feet long and stands 8 feet high. The barrow was used for a long period of time, but was finally sealed by the huge sarsen stones which can been seen at the entrance. In the 1950's the remains of around 50 people were discovered in the inside chambers. There are also stories/legends of a ghostly hound that can been seen there on midsummers day entering the mound.
