Uffington White Horse
The Uffington White Horse is a horse cut out of the turf of the slopes of Uffington Castle, the white is the underlying chalk that shows through. The horse is approx. 375 feet long. There are speculations that it is not actually a horse but a Dragon. It is thought to date back to 1000 BCE (Before Common Era). Since its construction it has been maintained every year since 1000 BCE.
