![]() Stone Henge is probably the most famous antient structure in Britain. This Megalithic ruin, dates back 3100-2300 BCE (Before Common Era). This site didn't start off as a stone circle. It was origianlly just a circle of earth with just a bank and ditch around it. It then was progressed to a wooden circle structure, and then to the Stone Circle. However, all of this happened over many hundres of years. Stone Henge lies on the Sailsbury Plain in Wiltshire. The Sailsbury Plain is covered with amazing burial mounds and ancient sites, it is well worth having an explore in the area and look at some of the areas that are not flocking with tourists, and perhaps do a ritual?
