Gaia by James Lovelock

This book is the book that started off the theory of Gaia. It was originally published in the 1970's but has been republished in 2000 to give more up-to-date information. The Gaia theory is that the Earth is a living entitiy, by regulating the Earths temparature, air compsition and life. The book is fairly scientific as one of its main aims it to make the theory credable to the scientific community as to try and help Gaia instead of hindering her, with the abilities that we have.

The first two chapters use a lot of scientific termanology, and I found if there were any distractions I would get confused, so read the first two chapters secluded somehwere. After that the book is very comprehensive. It gives very conclusive information about how Gaia works and functions. Also if you ever get any trouble off a scientist trying to rubish your believes about nature tell them to read this book.

A very interesting read and very thought provoking, well worth a read by any Pagan. A definate thumbs-up.
