A Witches' Bible by Janet and Stewart Farrar

This is two books in one. Originally published separately as, 'Eight Sabbats for Witches' and 'The Witches Way'. This is a brilliant source of information. It starts off simple and moves on to the more complex aspects of the Craft.

The 'Eight Sabbats for Witches' section contains an in-depth explanation of the Sabbats, giving historical origins, and rituals to perform. There are other rituals here such as the Great Rite, Wiccaning, and Handfasting.

The 'The Witches' Way' section looks at initiation rituals, consecrations, and others like drawing down the sun, three Goddess ritual etc. It also looks at the theory part of Wicca; the rationale of Wicca, reincarnation, ethics of Wicca, astral projection, spells and many other sections of interest.

The book also contains black and white photographs to accompany the text. A lot of the rituals here are geared towards group working, but I find that they are easy enough to adapt to solitary work. This is a very good book to read on Witchcraft, and I would suggest that if you are new to the Craft this should be one of the first books you read. Even those who have an indepth knowledge can still find some useful things within the pages of this book.

I would definitely recommend this book. Well worth every penny.
