Good performance last Thursday, never in danger of losing but one day we may get caught out. 4-0 up and cruising then let them grab a couple, scored a few more then let them score some more! Better teams will punish us. Good to see Biddy have a run out again, need to keep him moving, think his joints and vision are giving up on him these days!! All joking aside good performance from him and a well taken goal! Lee scored one as well. Nev Toes Poole grabbed two and I managed to trickle three in, one with the trusty right boot as well!! Richie pulled off some good saves as well when we didn't defend. Paddy had a few marauding runs and passed the ball around well.

04.12.08 7-A-SIDE RESULT 03.12.08 – O’Carrolls 3 – 1 Inter Caramellos

The big game!!! The game started with the game plan clear from both teams - OC's wanting to pass the ball around and Inter playing long into their tricky strikers feet (who Jobba handles very well and then tried to tap up). A great OC's move led to the first goal with Graham smashing the ball high into the net. Inter didn’t have much of the ball until the back end of the half when Richie saved smartly before the whistle went for half time - 1-0 OC's. A great first half performance!

The second half started with Inter pushing for a quick equaliser which arrived sooner rather than later. The normal OC's v Inter hard play was there to see and it was half way through the half when Graham went in with the keeper for a loose ball - the keeper reacted badly and both were given two minutes on the side line.

With the hooter sounding on other pitches Nick raced through the middle before unleashing an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner - cue mad celebrations down the touchline. With time running out Jaime and Lee did a bit of keep ball in the corner, before Jaime sent over a pin-point cross for Nick to head home for a 3-1 victory. Cue more mad scenes (fun in the sun).

Great performance by the lads - with one game left before the Xmas break lets hope we keep our heads and finish top of the group.

02.12.08 6-A-SIDE RESULT 27.11.08 – O’Carrolls 1 – 0 Sverge

Last Thusday in the late game, won 1-0 against Sverge, to be honest never looked in danger of losing and kept the ball reasonably well. They sat very deep even when they went 1-0 down. Goal came from the kick off in the second half, Nev laid it off and it squeezed in from my trusty left foot. Richie made a couple of good stops, Bradley marshalled the troops from the back, Nev ran around, Paddy did a few stepovers and Lee had some good runs. As before, good to get a win - need to keep doing it and see if we can grab top spot!!

02.12.08 7-A-SIDE RESULT 26.11.08 – Slightly Athletic 0 – 6 O’Carrolls

Best performance so far this year in the 7-A-Side league - passing was great too. Goals from James, Joey Barton (back from the UK on 7-A-Side debut) and 4 from Graham. Next week brings the clash of the titans when we meet Inter Caramellos - hopefully with Tom in the UK there won’t be any fighting!!! LOL! With only the top team guaranteed a place in the Prem League - victory would be sweet.
