Early childhood music classes are designed to create a rich music environment for children to interact with in whatever ways they feel most comfortable. Lots of singing fosters the language skills of listening and response, while simple movement activities introduce socialization and group cooperation. Motor activities challenge the body to become more self-aware and coordinated, and imitation and expressive movement offer a whole new means of expression. These classes are a great foundation for any child's next step in music education.

Musikgarten is an innovatice music and movement program for young children and their families. Created by experts in the field, Musikgarten classes instill a respect for the wonders of nature while enhancing the development of the whole child through music and movement activities. Children will have fun making music in class and enjoy as their parents share special musical moments at home with the help of their Family packet. Parents of children younger than three are required to attend with their child. Parents of children older than 3 1/2 are invited, but not required to attend. There are some children three years old and older who participate better and learn more when their parents are not present. Do what you think is best for your child. Parents need not be musicians to enjoy what happens in class and to be of musical value to their child. The first class includes a parent orientation day.
