most of you know that i am currently student teaching. thats why i don't update. well, today was rad because i was being observed so everything we did was all me. and things worked really well in one class, average in the other. but that one class--wow!
we had a discussion about equality in order to prepare to read harrison bergeron by kurt vonnegut, and the discussion was amazing!
in order to get theitr thoughts flowing, i had them write on equality right when they came in the room. i planned on qaking one response from each student and giving them a handout of what other people said. and now, i share this with you
EQUALITY
as seen by sixth hour language arts
It is possible for the world to treat each and everyone the same but it would take a miracle for that to happen.
Equality, put into words, is "do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
Equality doesnt mean getting rid of all differences; it means seeing past all differences.
Equality means no differences.
With equality, everybody would be treated equal, no matter who they are; without it, there would not be peace.
Equality means that everyone is treated equally.
Equality means being able to say the same thing two different ways.
Equality leaves no room for expressing your inner self. Sometimes people who change the world are the ones who stretch [and are individuals]they open their minds to possibility. Equality in its best form is just people liking and respecting everyone and everything.
Equality is peace, but peace is not equality. Everyone should have a fair chance at anything, and everything, that they deserve.
Equality is when people forget about the differences and treat people with respect.
Equality isnt always getting your way.
Equality means having the right to do certain things that other people do whatever your age, race, religion, or anything else.
I see equality as being able to forgive, despite what the cause of agreement is.
A questiondoes equality have to do with being equal?
sometimes, oftentimes, i really enjoy teaching.
