So after a mean email by Becca, I'm back.

First off, props go out to two other sites:

I recently got myself listed on Diarist.net which lists a bunch of online diaries and journals. They ask that we publicize them when we get listed, and the site is rad, so I am.

Alia's So-Called Life is Rubbish gets a mention because she is a fellow diarist (i'm not sure if i like that word. it sounds cool, but strangely like a certain bowle ailment. bowel is a word i definitely dislike.), and she gave me good feedback in my guestbook, which you should all sign. I intend to make a means of navigation next time I feel ambitious.

Right now, student teaching is controlling my ambition. It feels good to finally be practicing what I've been hearing preached for the last few years. It kind of drains your brain because you are sort of always "on-call", but I like it.

I was going to put my journal entries for teaching up on the site, but I'm not sure on that. I realized that my students could technically find my site and that would be extra weird, so you can no longer (once engines update) search for my real name and find this site.

The kids are great, and so is the school. And my teachers are great, for the most part. the school has a mission to teach with a social justice focus as well (since it IS Martin Luther King Jr. Laboratory School), which really is cool. so i guess I am happy.

more to write some time later. maybe i will put up those journal entries, just to tide over my fans. :-)

love,
metraboy

we can sit forever watching reruns on cable
take you driving in my brother's beat old car
sharing a cigarette and wish upon a star together."
