Rosemary just told me that I should say something nice about her. Well hon, I 'ove u. ;-)

This is probably going to be a mini-update, because I need to get some schoolwork done.

You know what makes me happy? Attending seven different classes in one week, when I can only take five. Why, one might ask, would I do this? Well, here at Northwestern University, we are on quarters, not semesters, making any classes over four count as overloads. Only people who are insane (i. e. me) or masochistic attempt this. I am doing so in order to make my senior year less about fulfilling graduation requirements and more about taking classes such as "The Beatles," or perhaps, "Where Basketweavers Sit and Smile: They're Coming to Take me Away--A History of Novelty Songs."

So anyway, I meant to add in to Human Reproduction this week. Guess what? Apparently, fucking is a popular subject at a university such as mine, and the class was full (although I may still get in). So then I emailed a prof about this kick-ass History of American Foreign Policy Class. It supposedly is very leftist and anti-American Government--in other words, a class taught by a smart man. However, he said I couldn't get in.

So today I planned on going to Concepts of Biology and Diversity of Life and seeing which one I could add. I went to Concepts and got in. The class is small, which might be helpful since I am a scientific moron. I didn't bother going to Diversity.

So all is well. Or not.

See, Concepts seems boring. And Human Repro was with Rosemary, on Tuesday Thursday instead of MWF, and the prof handed out ALL the lecture outlines the first day (making skipping class a nice option). So I plan on going tomorrow to still see if I can get in.

But wait, there's more.

The Foreign Policy (a. k. a. the only class fo the three I might actually enjoy) guy emailed me tonight and said that there are either 71 or 72 people in the class right now. There can only be 72 because the place that they are going to show the movies only holds 72. So I am to go to class tomorrow, see if I can get in, and then I'll know, because even the prof doesn't know yet.

You with me?

So that means I am going to three class sessions in three days totalling a possible 4 hours of my life, but I am only going to be in one of the classes. This time commitment also means that I can't go to work like I need to and I don't get much homework done (after updating this, eating meals, and playing Madden). So I am behind in classes already.

*sigh*

In other news, my one Education class this quarter, Health and Physical Development, kicks ass. Each week, we find two articles we find to be interesting and read and review them. She gave us a reading list that included about 7 books I already wanted to read and we are to pick three of them and review them sometime this quarter. We can even read soemthing that isn't on the list.

This is how school should be. Maybe I should go to England.

I guess this isn't a mini-update. Are you surprised?

Still lissening to the Postmarked Stamps comp. Yay. You do realize that I always quote a lyric from what I am lissening to at the end of my page, right? 'kay. I am fascinated with coming up with things I can change, but in a subtle way, every day.

Final thought: I begin a whole lot of sentences with "so...." Is this a Midwestern thing? I'm told it is, but I didn't really do it until I get to NU.

Email me here with comments/polemics/complaints. If you know me personally, email me my regular nwu.edu address. I added an instant guestbook for those too lazy to email, or for those who want to brighten my day by using it.

Finally, thanks for coming. I'll be here all week.

Yesterday's thoughts.

The day before.

The day before that.
