Socialization will increase confidence and should be started early. This dog may not tolerate young children. The Shih Tzu may be difficult to housebreak and can be a picky eater. Best Homes An apartment is fine, provided the dog is walked several times a day. The owner of a Shih Tzu should be a patient, consistent leader who desires an active, curious breed.
