| Brief synopsis: |

| The crew of Moya discover a huge wreck in space, which Rygel identifies as the Zelbinion. The crew investigate, and search for weapons, charts and other things they might use. They meet Gilina, a Peacekeeper tech, but also soon come under attack from other scavengers, the Sheyang. Despite the threat of battle, Crichton and Gilina find themselves attracted to eachother, causing unexpected jealousy from Aeryn, whilst Rygel confronts his fears by searching for his torturer's (Captin Durka's) remains. |

| Pilot detects a lifeless ship, and so Moya and crew head off to investigate. Once there, Rygel recognises the huge vessel as the Zelbinion, a Peacekeeper command carrier, one of the finest in the fleet. Though Zhaan and Rygel have doubts about investigating further, D'Argo and Aeryn are keen to go aboard.
Together with Crichton, the three head off in search of weapons, star charts, and anything else aboard the ship that they may find useful. Though most interesting items have been scavenged already, they encounter a Peacekeeper tech, Gilina.
|
Aeryn goes into full Peacekeeper mode as Officer Sun, and begins to interrogate the tech. Though Gilina admits to disliking Aeryn because of her defection, she is willing to tell them why she is here. She had been part of a full tech-survey team that Crais had put aboard the ship, but was left behind.
Onboard Moya, Zhaan helps Rygel build up the confidence to go aboard and confront his fear. Rygel heads onto the Zelbinion, and begins a search of the ship. He continually gets flashbacks of his time being tortured by Captain Durka, the commander of the Zelbinion. Meanwhile, a Sheyang vessel, responsible for much of the initial scavenging, returns to claim more of its prize. Finding Moya docked to the Zelbinion, it charges its weapons for combat.
Gilina, having found friendship with Crichton, becomes much more helpful, and suggests that they repair the defence shield of the damaged ship. However, it will take time, and D'Argo is left to fend off Moya. The Luxan begins shouting and swearing, which Zhaan suggests Pilot transmit to the Sheyang. Despite having no weapons or shielding, the Sheyang respond to D'Argo's show of strength by powering down their weapons, and preparing a new strategy.

Teurac, the lead Sheyang, had shown weakness in the eyes of his second in command, Lomus, and the younger Sheyang takes over the ship and prepares to fire. Thankfully, Gilina and Crichton finish work on the defence screen in time, and the two docked ships are protected. The success of the screen prompts John to suggest that they put the second screen generator aboard Moya for future protection.
However, there are gaps in the current screen which leave the ships open to attack. As Teurac regains control of his ship, he sends Lomus in a ship through the gap, leading a squadron to redeem himself.

Lomus is the only member of his assault force to make it through, but one Sheyang is enough to cause havoc on the Zelbinion. The threat of attack hadn't stopped John and Gilina getting together though, so the two had got extremely close, a fact that had sent Aeryn back to Moya as she realised she was actually jealous. However, with the Sheyang aboard, she has to go back to the Zelbinion to help John.
Elsewhere on the ship, Rygel finds what looks like the body of his torturer, Captain Durka. From the look of things, the person had committed suicide, a cowardly way out. Rygel reclaims his pendant, taken from him all those cycles ago. At the same time, the Sheyang gets closer to Crichton, at first passing Aeryn with ease, using the fireballs Sheyangs can fire from their throats.
The Sheyang catches up with John and Gilina, but Crichton is left desperately trying to hold apart two electrified cell panels as Gilina works on the screen. If the Sheyang attacks, the whole room would be vapourised. Fortunately, Aeryn jumps in, and takes out the Sheyang in impressive style.
With the battle finished, Teurac praises D'Argo for his ingenuity considering he really did have nothing to protect himself with. Gilina has to leave though, to await pickup by the Command Carrier. Aeryn points out that she won't say anything for fear of being classed as irreversibly contaminated as she was. John and Gilina part ways, but hope that one day they will meet again.
References and continuity:
Crichton: "Just ask Leo Di Caprio, even the big ones go down."
The crew are surprised that something as big as the Zelbinion could be beaten in battle, and Crichton refers to the film starring Leonardo Di Caprio, about the Titanic, the huge ship that sunk after hitting an iceberg.
Gilina: "Your whole unit was demoted after your defection."
Aeryn was once part of an elite Peacekeepr unit. After she was deemed irreversibly contaminated, she should have been executed, but escaped with John Crichton instead. Now, those who served in her unit have been demoted, and will remain there until Aeryn is taken down.
Crichton also tells Gilina about a Lethal Weapon movie, starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. He talks about the choice of wires on a bomb, and that the wrong one was cut, and how the two heroes ended up running out of the building as things exploded behind them.

Funny or interesting quotes:
Aeryn: "This is my world John, don't interfere."
Aeryn gets into full Peacekeeper mode as she tries to interrogate Gilina. She believes her way to be best, and thinks John is too soft.

Crichton: "We haven't conquered other worlds yet, so we just kick the crap out of eachother."
John tells Gilina that his species are less technologically advanced, but admits that humans are probably just as aggressive.
Aeryn: "In the beginning, I may have found you... interesting."
After discovering John getting close to Gilina, Aeryn seems a little jealous, and for the first time, reveeals certain feelings for John.
Crichton: "Listen gas hole, you kill us, you kill yourself."
Desperately holding the two coils apart, Crichton tells the fire breathing Sheyang attacker that he could kill everyone on board.

Personal Opinion:
A good episode with a couple of interesting plot points. Firstly, Aeryn has at last revealed that she "had" feelings for John. She does not say however, if they are still there. Also, Moya now has a rather useful defence screen, giving Moya more than just Starburst as a means of protection.
The introduction of the Zelbinion and of Captain Durka also initiate some story arcs that continue in later episodes such as season one's Durka Returns. The mystery of the Zelbinion is not unravelled at this stage, opening up a nice mystery to be addressed later.
