| When D'Argo's hyper-rage prompts him to leave, and visit the nearby planet Sykara, Rygel, Zhaan, Aeryn and John are forced to go and look for him in order to leave. Once they find D'Argo however, he is a different person, experiencing total contentment working on the planet. It is left to Crichton to figure out what is making D'Argo so different, whilst Aeryn turns scientist and tries to understand why Rygel is having explosive stomach trouble. |

|
Luxan hyper-rage strikes D'Argo, forcing Crichton to retreat into hiding so as to avoid getting hurt. When John emerges, he discovers that D'Argo has left, and gone to the nearby planet Sykara. Zhaan, Rygel, Aeryn and John travel down to the planet to try and bring him back. Once there, they meet the Sykarans, a species similar to Sebaceans, but also discover that the temperature is higher than expected, meaning Aeryn will have to return to the ship before the day begins.

The crew meet D'Argo again in a bar, but to their amazement, find him in a state of total contentment. He has no anger left, and certainly none aimed at Crichton. Shortly afterwards, a pale looking woman, Volmae, introduces herself to the crew. She is the leader of the people, or close to it, and welcomes the crew to the planet.
Rygel, having eaten too much, decides to leave, and find a spot to "relieve himself". Shortly afterwards Aeryn and John hear an explosion from Rygel's direction, and go over to invesigate. On the way, a mysterious woman stops John to warn him that he must stay on Sykara. Continuing on, John and Aeryn find Rygel next to a large crater. possibly from a bombing assasination attempt.
To combat the problem, Aeryn takes Rygel back to the ship, whilst John and Zhaan go to D'Argo's house to stay the night. However, they are not D'Argo's only company, as his girlfriend is also there to stay. Back on the ship however, Aeryn discovers that the problem is actually coming from Rygel. All his bodily secretions are turning out to be explosive, forcing Aeryn to become ship's scientist in an attempt to save Rygel.
Crichton and Zhaan accompany D'Argo to work the next day, despite Crichton recalling that D'Argo and Volmae had been going on about "Tomorrow is a rest day". Whilst at work, John meets the same woman again, Tanga, and her father Hybin. They force a wormlike creature into John's stomach, and order him to go away and eat, to dull his pain.
|
Back on Moya, Aeryn and Pilot hold Rygel in cryostasis, allowing Aeryn to investigate the problem properly. Again Pilot and Aeryn show signs of a potentially excellent team. On the planet though, things are worsening as Zhaan is converted to D'Argo's way of thinking. To disguise John's immunity, which he discovers from Tanga is caused by the worm, John pretends to be similarly affected, and begins preaching about how content he is on Sykara, and how much he looks forward to tomorrow, the rest day.
| | |
This is enough to convince Volmae, who begins to express an interest in John's ship, and of his other crewmates. She shows John the store rooms of the Tannot root they harvest, and John learns that it is the Peacekeepers who are forcing this race to harvest the plant, using a toxin within the root.
John lets Aeryn know, and the pair form a plan. Rygel and Aeryn come back to the planet, which is pleasing for Volmae who thinks John is co-operating completely. However, John confronts Volmae and orders her outside where Rygel has a surprise waiting. D'Argo and Zhaan would have stood by Volmae had it not been for Rygel's exploding urine.
Aeryn tells D'Argo that the substance inside the Tannot root is used to create weapons and explosives for the Peacekeeper military. Hybin then steps in to unite his people, and convince Volmae that tomorrow should be a genuine rest day, and that supplying the Peacekeepers should be a thing of the past.
Later, Aeryn extracts the worm from inside John's stomach, whilst D'Argo and Zhaan discuss life in the uncharted territories, and of the false contentment they were leaving behind on Sykara.
References and continuity:
Crichton tells Aeryn she is doing her "Madame Curie impression", when Aeryn starts taking the role of scientist. Marie Curie was the famous scientist who discovered Radium and Polonium, paving the way for modern nuclear physics.
Rygel is held in "Cryostasis", a popular idea used in films such as Alien, where those held in the state do not age or remember what happens, and simply awaken when released from cryostasis. This is a handy way of passing the time during long journeys.

Funny or interesting quotes:
Aeryn: "She gives me a woody."
Aeryn experiments with some of John's earth sayings, resulting in occasional funny comments such as this. John corrects her, with "She gives me the willies".
| |
Aeryn: "Nobody knows you here. Its only the people who know you that want to kill you."
When Rygel is seemingly attacked, Aeryn expresses her doubt as Rygel has only just arrived on the planet.
Episode Trivia:
Sykarans are distantly related to Sebaceans, but have a greater tolerance to heat. Aeryn would not be comfortable in the heat of day on Sykara.
To put Rygel in Cryostasis, Aeryn and Pilot take the temperature down to 105 below a specific frost point (possibly equivalent to water's freezing point).
Tannot plants contain chemicals that when mixed correctly, can be used to create explosives.

Personal Opinion:
The episode itself I didn't feel really did that much, however it did have two major selling points. Firstly, Aeryn has several fantastic lines, for example, the two given above in the quotes section. Secondly, the crew's intervention on Sykara will be a significant loss to Peacekeeper power with the Sykarans now becoming more independent.
It was also fun to see Aeryn trying out other skills, and she really stood out in this episode. John however is still finding his feet in the uncharted territories, but his usefullness is swiftly growing.
