Hi! I'm Dove, and I'm a huge fan of books. I've been a "reader" since the age of eight. I love to read, and I love to write. Since I haven't written (as in published) any of my own books yet, I figured I'd write about other authors' books here. What you'll find on this site, primarily, are reviews of some of the books I've read through the years.
The following list, is a compilation of books I've read since July, 1999. The titles in bold red are the ones I have reviewed. Just click on them to be taken to that particular review page. So far, there aren't many since this site is so new (I just created this site today, July 20th, 2005), but more will be coming soon, so be sure to check back often.
I enjoy many different authors as you'll discover from the list (below), but my favorite authors are Stephen King, George Beahm, Stephen Spignesi, Anne Rice (the Vampire books), John Grisham, Nicholas Sparks, Elmer Kelton, Louis L'Amour, Steve Alten, Dave Barry, Dan Brown, Amy Tan, Dean Koontz, and Larry McMurtry... just to name a few, LOL.
You won't find many King titles in the list below, since I read most of his stuff before I started 'The List.' However, I have read everything he's written.
I read mostly fiction (numerous genres), but you will find some non-fiction books, as well as a few biographies mixed in.
A WARNING: The list is not in alphabetical order. It's in the order in which they've been read. I did it this way intentionally. I always find it fascinating to see how people read... if they stick to one author/genre, or if they jump around. It's also interesting [to me] to see how readers' tastes vary, from title to title. I'm hoping y'all feel the same... (if not, it'll be difficult to search for a specific book).
I am not a professional book-reviewer. I'm just doing this for fun. In my reviews, you'll find a short summary of what the story is about, and then I offer my [personal] opinion - if I think it was a good book or not. They're pretty basic reviews. I'll try to keep them short, and even though I've included a summary of the book, I'll NEVER give away the ending. As a reader, I hate it when someone does that to me, so I won't do it to you either!
