Dove's (Personal) Review:  This is, BY FAR, the best Titanic source you will ever encounter! A genuine treasuretrove of information! If you're a Titanic Enthusiast, this is a "MUST OWN/MUST READ" title! If you're a Titanic collector, the same is true!
Meticulously assembled, "The Complete Titanic" includes every detail about the Titanic you can possibly imagine! From the dining menus, to the cargo manifest... from the passenger list, to the spec-sheets... from rivets, to lifeboats... from the making of the ship, to the making of the [James Cameron] movie!
Need to know how many candles were onboard? Or what the last meal was, the night the ship sank? Wanna take a look at some of the blue-prints, or know what the weather was during the entire maiden voyage? Or how 'bout learning more about the passengers onboard? Or perhaps the crew? Have questions about the 'berg She hit, and the damage it caused? Wanna find out what else made it into the lifeboats (besides people)? It's ALL in here!!!
You'll also find tons of "official" documentation/transcripts included between the covers! Here's a few examples to whet your appetite: Report of Survey, Report on the Loss of the Titanic, telegrams of condolences, advertisements, newspaper clippings/articles, and the actual menus (complete with the White-Star Line logo)!
And the photos!!! Absolutely wonderful photographs throughout the entire thing. Many of which, you'll discover are from the author's personal collection, which is quite impressive, if I dare say so myself!!! Wouldn't I LOVE to get my hands on that collection!!!
I've read numerous volumes about the Titanic through the years, non of which even come close to Spignesi's "Complete Titanic." All the others are a waste of time! Once you've read Spignesi's book, there's no need to read the others!!!
An immeasurable masterpiece! A+++++++++++!!!! Simply the best!!! This one, without a doubt, gets Dove's TWO-THUMBS-UP, GOLD-STAR rating!!!
