Dove's (Personal) Review:  I'm not a huge fan of audio books... I only have a couple. I definitely prefer to read the words myself. I've found when I try to listen to a book on tape/CD, my mind wanders, and I end up missing stuff. However, when I heard that Carrie was being released in audio format, I had to have it. The day it hit the stores, I rushed out to buy it simply because it's read by "Carrie" herself, Sissy Spacek.
     I listened to the entire thing one Saturday afternoon, and was very pleased with it. Sissy's interpretation of King's work is perfect! I have no idea if it's because she played Carrie in the movie, or if she's just naturally a super reader.... whatever the reason, this audio-book is magnificent! I was glued to my stereo throughout the whole thing. Not once did I catch my mind wandering.
     And for all you "Must-Have-Everything-King" collectors out there, you'll be happy to hear that Stephen King does a brand new introduction for the audio version, which is fantastic.
     King's intro, Sissy's reading, the story itself - all very deserving of Dove's TWO-THUMBS-UP, GOLD STAR ranking!
