| Cyclops Real Name: Scott Summers Muntant Ability: Cyclops uses powerful blasts that eminate from his eyes to combat villians. Ony by shutting his eyes or shielding them with his Ruby Quartz visor can he stop his powerful optic blasts. Group Identification: The New X-Men (field leader) Current Status: Active Scott Summers is Xavier's most trusted studend, and has sacrificed much for the muntant cause. Early in his career, Cyclops had a child with Madyline Pryor (the clone of Jean Grey) and was forced to send his son, Nathan, into the future when the muntant Apocolypse infected Nathan with a Techno Organic Virus. He has lead the field teams since the original five X-Men were active. He is currently married to Jean Grey A.K.A. Phoenix. Scott served the team for many years, but after a bomb was implanted in Scott and removed, Scott and Jean decided to retire. Trouble with the muntant menace Apocolypse brought them back, and he and Phoenix were captured. When Apocolypse was about to posess the powerful body of Nate Grey, Scott threw himself in between the two, sacrificing himself to save the world. The X-men Defeated the posessed Cyclops apparently killing Scott in the process. A few years later, Scott was found by Phoenix and his son, returned from the future, Cable, still battling the powerful soul of Apocolypse. With the help of Phoenix and Cable, Scott was able to banish Apocolypse from his mind, shattering the evil muntants existance. Scott has returned to lead the New X-men team, but Scott is still haunted in the back of his miind by the evil thoughts of the mighty Apocolypse. |
