| Beast Real Name: Henry "Hank" McCoy Mutant Ability: Beast has super human agility and strength, enhanced animal senses, and the ability to climb on walls and ceilings. Group Identification: The New X-Men Current Status: Active Hank McCoy was one of the five original X-Men. When the team took some time off, Hank went to school and earned a doctorine in Medicine and Genetic Research. Instead of going back with the team, Hank continued to do genetic reasearch, and a failed exparement turned him into a blue-furred "beast". Hank was invited to join the Avengers, and excepted. He stuck with the Avengers for several years, until he was invited to join the Government funded Mutant team made up of the other original X-Men, X-Factor. When X-Factor was reformed, Hank chose to return to the X-Men, and Hank has stuck with the team since. Reently, Hank underwent a mutation, and now resembles a Feline type creature. When confronted by Cassandra Nova, she told Hank he was de-evolving. Hank continues to due research, unsure if he will change anymore. He is currently and instructor at Xavier's. |
