| G.I. Joe Recent Issue Reviews, Series Summary and Grade, and Character Bios RECENT ISSUES Issue 6: A- Great Issue! Cobra Commander is back in action, and he wants revenge on Destro and all the others who refused to help him. He inlists Storm Shadow to enforce his law, and he debuts his Neo-Vipers! He also assigns Storm Shadow to assasinate General Hawk. The original Destro is back, and is holding his son hostage for ruining his "good name". On the Joe front, Snake Eyes and Scarlett are keeping thier engagement a secret until everyone can get used to them being back togather, and Stalker moves his family close to Joe Headquarters with a little help from his teamates. G.I. Joe fan or not, this one is worth picking up. Issue 5: This is a recap of Duke's final mission before G.I. Joe was reinstated. Duke confronts Major Bludd in an attempt to get information. I didn't pick this one up yet, so I really can't rate it, I will pick it up and rate it soon. SERIES SUMMARY G.I. Joe was disbanded nearly 10 years ago after Cobra broke down. Most former members of both sides have moved on with thier lifes, but when Cobra Commander returns to the shores of the U.S., G.I. Joe is reinstated, bent on stopping Cobra and making the world a better place. SERIES GRADE: A- This has been a great book so far! I am especially pleased that Storm Shadow is back with Cobra, Cobra needs a good Ninja presence. The stories are great, with good new characters. I would recomend at least buying a few issues and checking it out, even if you know nothing of G.I. Joe, you won't be disapointed! MAIN CHARACTERS (Under Construction) |
