| THE UNCANNY X-MEN Recent Issues, Series Summary and Grade, and Character Bios RECENT ISSUES SUMMARY Issue 407: C Nightcrawler and Chamber narrowly escape death when Nightcrawler teleports them out of an exploding plane. They have teleported into the alps, and have found one of Nightcrawlers circus friends. Nightcrawler is having trouble with the idea of going back with the X-Men after seeing the simple and peaceful life his friend leads. After Chamber contacts the X-Men, Nightcrawler makes a decision to go back with the X-Men. This one is worth skipping if you are not a big X-fan, it would be worth it to glance over it though. Issue 406: B This marks the end of the X-Corps series. With Banshee bleeding to death on the ground, Mystique and Martinique Jason are free to operate from the X-Corps headquarters. The X-Men go after the rogue Multiple Men and X-Corp members, narrowly stopping them from demolishing Paris. Banshee is able to get to the labs of the X-Corp building and free the mutant prisoner Void. Void stops Mystique and sends her to to an unknown place. This one is worth picking up, it is the end to a great story. SERIES SUMMARY The X-Men are mutants, humans that have been given special powers, and have long fought against the evil of the world. With the world's ideas changing, and thier secret operations compromised, the team is forced to split to keep the world a safe place. SERIES GRADE: B This series has so far had a good storyline. I have enjoyed the personalities of this team, and hopefully, they will add some new memvers to thier roster. Chris Claremont is back writing the X-Men, and is showing that he hasn't missed a beat since he left back in the early 90's. Definetely worth picking up, at lease to check it out.
