| Nightcrawler Real Name: Kurt Wagner Mutant Ability: Nightcrawler posesses the power of teleportation, menaing he can vanish in one place and reappear in another. He also has superhuman agility and a tail that is easily used like a third hand. Kurt is also a trained swordsman. Group Identification: Uncanny X-Men Current Status: Active Kurt Wagner is was born with blue skin and a tail. He started his life as a circus perfromer, then because of the way he looked, was forced to live in a church, having sanctuary from the outside world. Kurt was found by Professor X, and joined the X-Men. With his powers, Kurt made an excellent adition to the team. Kurt served with the X-Men for many years, but decided to leave to help start the English mutant team Excalibur. Eventually, Kurt became the leader of Excalibur, and fought alongside of former X-Men Colossus and Shadowcat. When Excalibur disbanded, sighting terrible tragedies to the team, Kurt returned to the X-Men. There he had made a home for himself, and started Priesthood training, serving with the X-Men only part of the time. His commitment to his friends in the X-Men forced Kurt to put his training aside, and Kurt now leads the Uncanny X-Men. |
