1.1.1 Welcome Sunfoods
Different readers may require different approaches to the same paper, depending on their background, previous knowledge etc. In order to recognize this, the thesis' site may be entered through different ports depending on the background and the requirements of the reader. The different ports lead to different introductions to the thesis.

As you have entered the thesis through this link it may be likely that you have plenty of knowledge about the company and the product the thesis is concerned with. Further, it is possible to assume that your primary interest lays in the results of the thesis and not in academic aspects such as methodology. Therefore a short summary, of the findings of thesis, aimed at Sunfoods management is provided here.

1.1.2  Thesis Summary Aimed at Sunfoods
The aim of the thesis is to determine whether Konnyaku-Chips should be exported from Japan to Sweden. Three areas are addressed:
1. Sunfoods export readiness
2. The trade conditions between Japan and Sweden
3. The Swedish market

It is argued that Sunfoods can improve the export readiness by for example hiring personnel with language knowledge and export experience. However, as a whole, Sunfoods  appears to be relatively well prepared to export.

It written that the trade relationship between Japan and Sweden as a whole is characterized by friendliness. The study of the trade conditions for the export venture thereby gives a favorable impression.

It is explained that the Swedish market is smaller then the Japanese and that the Swedish customers' ability to pay is lower than the Japanese customers ability to pay. Moreover, it is written that there are relatively large cultural differences between Sweden and Japan but they do not appear to give reasons to discard the export venture. Sweden is a part of EU, and as such a part of a potentially much larger market. Moreover, the political and legal situation in Sweden seems stable. The Swedish market thereby comes forward as relatively favourable.

It is finally concluded that a continuation of the export venture with Konnyaku-Chips to Sweden can be recommended.
