I got up later than usual since I did not set my alarm with the intent that I would sleep. Once I did wake up my boy inquire, "where are we going today?" Good question, i thought about it for a bit but then I figured it out. I asked him where he wanted to go, and Akihabara was high on his list. Okay akihabara it is then. So we took the Tozai line to Chou Sobu line and we got off. Our first stop was Club Sega, which was very loud. On the second floor they had these ice cream things that were really good and felt good on my throat since I was not actually swallowing anything hard. Both of us had never been to akihabara since I was waiting to take him. Then I remembered seeing a sign for a mandarake store in akihabara, so I wanted to take Jim there. We looked in this one store, i forget the name of it but I played the home version of the drum game that I keep seeing everywhere. i was hooked. I thought it was a lot of fun. Jim kept looking at the different gba to see if anything interested him so that he would have something to take with him on the plane ride. In the anime section he found this vandread dvd that was different than the other ones and it came in this box with a special book. He was drooling and I was tempted to buy it for him but I know that he would never let me. He was also drooling over the hellsing preview box that was a coffin, and the cowboy bebop movie dvd. We left the store and looked at various game store that all seemed to contain the same major games. Final Fantasy XI came out with a special edition box art. I realized at the soft-ware store that the drum game had not actual been released for sale yet. It comes out next week. Jim was drooling over this gundam game that I was not sure had been released yet or not. We went to a bunch of second hand video game stores. We stopped at the conbinii, we bought some drinks and some cough drops. I asked the guy where mandarake was, and I wasn't completely sure if he said one or two streets down. So I went down the one street and then up the next. We found this little card shop and jim was reminscing about the days thath he played magic since they had cards for sale there. I was looking at the aquarian age cards, because I am so tempted to pick up a box of them. We went into this one store that had artwork from the macross artist as well as really cool yoshitaka amano stuff. Their was this really cool VHD plate. Next was mandarake were they seemed to have nothing but porn. I did find something for my brother that i had to buy, but jim pointed out this distributing image of card captor sakura. I left feeling disappointed since none of the other mandarake's that i have been to where like that.... Anyway we went pasted the soft-ware store again. Then we decided to cross the street and go into this store named Aso Bit City. This store was very nice, and it seemed more up to jim's standards. He was also happy cuz he got to play this mecha game for xbox that has an enormous i guess "controller" that you have to buy that has all sorts of buttons. Since my legs were exhausted they opted for playing blitz since i could sit down. I was not too impressed with the game, but it was something to do. Next we went into animate which seemed to have a lot of floors. Jim saw this kare kano poster board and bought it for me since he knew i wanted it. We traveled up all of the floors and were completely exhausted by the time we got down. Outside their was a vendor selling those sweets that I ate at the side walk sale at kagurazaka. I wanted one but fell 5 cents short, so i shrugged it off and figured we would eat later. Next stop, Shinjuku! I wanted to take my boy to dai-sushi since we always eat sushi together I figured that this would be something that he would enjoy. The minute we got there the American bug seemed to hit us. He slipped tea all over the place. I dropped a plate, but it was okay since they had unagi today :) the sushi was delicious but hard for me to swallow. Next I wanted to take jim to the good mandarake, but he didn't seem that impressed. It was getting a bit late so we decided to head back. We walked around for a bit and then I felt the urge for icecream since it felt good on my throat. We walked around, almost got run over by a guy on a motorcycle, played the drum game together, and then decided to head back. Off to bed land with my man by my side.
