After buying the hat, I had this outfit envisioned in my head, and anything less just would not suffise. So naturally the first place that I decided to head for was Harujuku. Once I got off the jr line i went down the first street. First I was looking at this leg warmers that were pretty cute, and since I had little to no money I realized, I was hoping that they would miraculously take Visa, nope. So while gawking at this one pair that I wanted realizing at the same time how strange they would probably look on, I opted for these two afforable pairs. I kept walking up and down Harujuku in hopes to find this skirt. Low and behold I found it, so I asked if I could try it on along with this shirt that was sorta like the one that I had envisioned. Strangest thing though, I guess that most of the girls in Japan wear a lot of consealer because they had me wear this head mask thing when I wanted to try on shirts. I tried on the skirt and I should have seen the red flag warnings when it said "size fit." This basically means that it is a draw string that makes the skirt bunch up and look very, very strange. Before leaving the store I saw another pair of knee highs that I felt would be more appropriate with my outfit. I think that I walked up and down the block a bunch of times, finding American "vintage" clothing store, another word for overpriced crap. Crepes seem to be the thing to eat at Harujuku, since the line is incredibly long. I went to another clothing store that did not give me a face mask since i was trying on skirts, they take the clothing off the hanger and hand it to you and you are also expected to take your shoes off before you enter the changing room. Ugh, I did find a skirt at another store that was absolutely perfect, but the color just wasn't right, *sigh* i gave up and decided to walk to Shinjuku from Harujuku. I figured that if I followed the JR Yamanote path that I should get to Shinjuku. I was so hungry from all of the walking so I stopped at the conbinii to get a drink and anman, but their were two different color anmans to choose from, pink or blue, i have no clue what the difference was. I opted for blue, blue seems safe, i think i would trust it over pink. Regardless the anman seemed to taste the same. So, I went by so anime school in Yoyogi and I noticed that their was grafittee in this area, which is the first time that I had seen it in Tokyo. I kept walking and I walked past Hobby Japan on my left. First indication that I was in Shinjuku, Tokyo Hands. I went into Tokyo Hands and it seemed an awful lot like a michelle's store that contained more houseware stuff. I later heard that this place is rather expensive. Next to it was some sort of department store so everything was ungodly overpriced. Bags that in no way pratical due to their size at least 300 and up. I found myself out the South exit in Shinjuku. I quickly found my way to My City. I realized that the store that had my shirt completely changed the clothing that they had. I went to another store that was having a sale and I like the shirt, tried it on, it fit nice, and I told the girl that I would be back. While walking around I found another store that had a similar shirt, only catch was you couldn't try it on, so I bought it. I went to the bathroom and changed. Well? It fit oddly I felt, so I was inclided to go back to the other store and buy the shirt. I did, but i paid in cash since my credit card decided not to work for some odd reason. I changed my shirt and put on my hat, and headed home. Once I got back to the dorm I displayed my new items and ppl in the dorm kept saying in Japanese "how cute!" Well I was tired from all the walking that I had done, off to bed.
