10-15-02
Today was the day that my boyfriend originally told me that he was coming to Japan, but realized his mistake and realized that he would be actually coming tomorrow. So today's theme. anticipation. The sooner that today would be over, the better. So I drudged through my classes and clammered in excitment. I figured that tonight I was going to stay at the ryokan by myself. Once I got back to the dorm I had a few things to take care of, like packing. Also I was wondering how payment for the ryokan was going to work so I figured that I should bring enough to cover my stay that night. I shoved all of my clothing into my suitcase, and I left it there for the moment. I figured that the best plan of attack would be to run to the bank and take out enough money for transportation and everything, then go back to the dorm, take my suitcase with me to the Tozai line, which isn't that far. This is what I did, but I spoke with Ann in between and she was sooo jealous; I also bought some cookies at the dollar store. Once I got out at Takadonababa, I didn't see the Starbucks or the Wendy's. I saw a woman in line waiting to take out money from the bank and I asked her where it is, and she told me to hold on a minute. She walked to me to the police box, got directions for me, then took me to the place. I was surprised that she would go out of her way. So I was there at the Ryokan. Once there the woman took me to the room and I explained that it would just be me tonight and my boyfriend would be coming tomorrow. So I put all of my stuff down, there was an airconditioner and a tv/vcr in the room. This room though was definately a tradition japanese room, but it was also the only room where you could hear EVERYTHING in the house. I finished my homework and figured out where I definately wanted to take my boy. The woman of the house came back with some tea and snacks. I wanted to leave some for jim, but I was really hungry and I figured that I would need something to eat for breakfast. I turned on the aircon, snuggled in the covers, and was happy to know that the door was open 24 hours and I could come and go as I pleased. I was watching some anime on TV: spiral, yu-gi-o, and pokemon where they were teaching the Japanese kids how to speak english. It took me a while to get to sleep. After I had turned off the light I heard every small thing in the house as well as a cat's meow. The cat then opened the door on its own and then i was making noises at it then it left on its own. Strange..... sleep time.
