Expansion Draft

The 2006 Expansion Draft was held on October 30, 2005, in order to form a portion of the roster for the Jackson Weite League's newest team, the Grey Gooses. The Gooses had sixteen selections in the draft and will fill out the rest of their roster in the 2006 Free Agent Draft. Their selections were as follows:

The date for the 2006 Free Agent Draft will be February 24, 2006. The draft order is: Grey Gooses, Blue Hayes, Sandwizards, Ellusive Dueces, Whistling Finches, Snappers, Ship Biscuits, Agitators, Fisterbottoms.

Offseason Moves Give Sandwizards New Look

Along with the change of team name from the Registered Nurses to the Sandwizards, the team has completely reconstructed there roster in the offseason, as they have been a part of every trade in the Jackson Weite League offseason. There have been a total 5 different trades, with a total of 12 players and 7 draft picks being swapped. First, they sent Carlos Beltran packing for the Ellusive Dueces, in exchange for thirdbaseman Chipper Jones and Oliver Perez. Next, it was John Smoltz coming to join the Sandwizards rotation in exchange for Gary Sheffield, who was sent to the Whistling Finches. Then, they acquired the leagues best ace, Roger Clemens from the Snappers, for the draft rights to Jorge Sosa, Rafael Furcal, Freddy Garcia, and Rodrigo Lopez. The next move that they made was a deal to get speedster Chone Figgins in exchange for slugger Adam Dunn.span>
