1942年2月初東江縱隊港九獨立大隊正式成立，并與日軍周旋。本文主要根據老戰士的訪問錄影帶，記述幾位港九大隊女戰士在香港抗戰時所擔任的角色、經歷和感受，包括陳玉蓮、葉蔚清、黃峰、張婉華、朱韞貞（歐堅）、梁柯平、袁卓峰、林苑明、唐華等。她們為了保衛祖國而奮勇抗敵的高尚情操，鐵證了“國家興亡，匹婦有責”的使命。

Abstract： In early February l942, the Hong Kong-Kowloon Brigade of the East River Column was formally established to engage the Japanese army. This article, based main1y on the video records of interviews with a number of veteran women fighters of the Brigade, including Chen Yulian, Ye Weiqing, Huang Feng, Zhang Wanhua, Chu Wan-Jing （Au Kin）, Liang Keping, Yuan Zhuofeng, Lin Yuanming and Tang Hua, documents their roles and experience in the War of Resistance in Hong Kong and how they felt at that time. Their honourable acts of courageously fighting the enemies to defend their motherland bear testimony to their mission of "fulfilling women's responsibility of protecting the country".
