Worthersee
Klagenfurt, Carinthia
The beautiful lake Worthersee is a popular summer resort region.
This view is from the Schlosshotel Worthersee, an old converted castle
situated on the side of a hill. The lake is 10.5 miles long, about
1 mile wide, and 279 feet at its deepest point.

The Capital of Carinthia
This statue of Empress Maria Theresa, perhaps the most beloved of all
the Habsburg rulers, stands in the Neuer Platz.

The Domkirche
Klagenfurt, Carinthia
Construction began on this cathedral in 1578.
It was completed in 1591 as a Protestant church, but in 1604, it was given
over to the Jesuits to be reconsecrated. The interior is richly adorned
in stucco and has ceiling paintings from the 18th century.
