St. Andra Parish Church
Lienz, East Tirol
Completed in 1457, the parish church of St. Andra contains the tombstones
of the Counts of Gorz, who ruled over this part of Austria for centuries.
Beneath the gallery of the church, one can find the 16th century tombstone
of Count Leonard, the last of the Gorz-Tirol line. The unique graveyard
at St. Andra, located in the shadow of Mt. Spitzkopft, contains a monument
to the war dead by Holzmeister.

Pustertal
Throughout the Alpine region, small chapels dot the hillsides.
This chapel is located off of the Pustertaler Hohenstrasse – a scenic mountain
road overlooking the beautiful Pustertal region in East Tirol.

Pustertal
Innichen, Italy
This region, called Sudtirol (South Tirol), was part of Austria for
centuries until 1918, when it became part of Italy as a condition for the
ending of the First World War. Most of the inhabitants of South Tirol
retain their Austrian culture and German language.
