Playstation
Review
Metal gear solid is a great game for the playstation. It practically re-invented the way in which action adventure games are played.

The story line its self involves a special operative (code named Solid Snake). Who is sent to a remote island that has been taken over by terrorists, in attempt find out their plans and stop them from using a special weapon known as Metal Gear.
Its the usual save the world from disaster type story but in a whole new way.

Most action games used to have you simply shooting your way through the levels collecting a few keys along the way. In Metal Gear you still have to do a lot of shooting and killing but the emphasis of the game is more on stealth.
This doesn't take anything away from the game play and in fact actually adds to it. You have to sneak past guards and security cameras if you don't want alarms to go off.

Use special equipment such as camera guided rockets and land mines. As well as make use of boxes and desks to hide under, and half a dozen other things.

Overall it is a great game, I especially like sneaking up behind the unsuspecting guards and planting C4 on them. Its just so funny, they walk away and boom another guard is blown to bits.
If you would like to hear one of the main songs from metal gear why not try the download bellow. You will need Real player with which to listen to this music.
There are probably some other applications out there that will let you listen to this file, real player is probably your best bet though.

Description
This is a great song from the end of the game. It is well worth downloading. I'm sorry I couldn't make it available in MP3 format but the file size was a whopping 4.5 Mb and didn't offer much better quality anyway.
Obviously the download time will be less if you have a faster modem.
