Review

Discworld has got to be one of the hardest puzzler games on the playstation.  Unless you have read just about every book Terry Prachet has brought out you will probably not understand any of the puzzles.

Hey even I didn't really understand most of them and I've read a lot of his books.  My advice would be to get a guide for this game as you are not likely to complete it without one.

The storyline involves you as Rincewind the wizard trying to find out some sort of plot.  Don't ask me what as I'm not too sure my self.

You get to wander round Ank Morpork solving various insane puzzles that no one in their right mind could solve, in an attempt to complete the game.

Having said that the game has been nicely done, with some very nicely drawn backgrounds and graphics, and you talk to most of the people you meet so you don't have to worry about reading screens of text.

It is a point and click game so getting hold of the playstation mouse might be a good idea, as the joypad doesn't offer the same sort of control.

This games biggest fault was that you weren't always sure what it was you were supposed to be doing next, and even if you were you probably wouldn't know how to go about it.  In addition to this there really wasn't very much action of any sort to keep you interested or make you want to finish the game.

Still it is a fun game for people who like complex puzzles and I would sooner play this than the follow up game Discworld 2, which I might add seemed to have been done by 5 year olds.  As the graphics were absolutely crap and the game controls were hopeless.
