Review
Abes Oddysee has got to be one of the funniest platform games available for the Playstation. Heck what am I saying its probably one of the only platform game available for the Playstation.
For those of you who don't know what a platform game is, its the type of game where you run along the screen from left to right, though it can be the other way round or up or down. Platform games are usually 2 dimensional at most.
This doesn't detract from the game though and I would say that platform games are just as good as all the new 3 dimensional games that are out these days.
In Abes Oddysee you get to play the part of Abe, a harmless looking Mudoken slave who works in rupture farms, which is a big meat processing plant. Molok the Gluken (Abes boss and captor) has plans to make Abe and all his buddies into dinner, as all the other sources of meet have been used up.
You as Abe must escape the plant, learn different moves, solve fiendishly difficult puzzles, locate hidden areas and save your fellow Mudokens in order to complete the game.
Depending on how many of your fellow slaves you free, determines the outcome of the game. You can get the good ending or the bad ending depending on how well you do.
The graphics and movie sequences have been really well done, and even just getting Abe to say different things can be funny.
Overall a fun game with plenty of things to keep you interested.
