02.17.05 | The Champion

Okay, this will be short. It's our finals today in the Intramurals. I was late in going to school this morning (now I have a problem in getting my clearance -- shoot!). Anyway, since it's our High School Week today, we've no classes though we still need to go to school (and that's why I can't even finish my project this week!). Oh yeah, I forgot about the match. Our volleyball team won yesterday and was now playing for the final match with St. Denise (another class). At first, our team was losing, and I was quite nervous we would lose the game. But, after I prayed so hard to Father God, our team was suddenly improving, and we finally won the championship! Woohoo!

Thank you too to the people who gave me gifts this Valentine's Day! I'll just post them later, okay? God bless! ^_^

La Shawn: Thank you for your prayers!
Tammy: I'm using MIRC... and I still haven't installed a Yahoo! Messenger.
Chau: Thanks for your prayers. :) I really appreciated it!
Philip and Chette: Thank you!
Tamara: Yes, He really is. And you know what? Jomer, my classmate, is already in the recovery room and only needs time to heal now. He's safe now, and we've nothing to worry. ^_^ About the driver, they've filed him a case that will be held after Jomer and his sister's recovery. I hope they'll win the case. Praise the Lord! ^_^
Euri: Heheh, I'm not that pretty.
Chette: It's okay, really. ^_^ I think I'll try again next time. Oh, and thank you for the gift! ^_^
Jenni: Thank you! ^_^

02.05.05 | Accident

I'm sorry if I haven't got I won't continue the prom night story. It's just that I've something to request to you guys. Please pray for my classmate, Jomer, and her sister to heal fast because they met an accident just yesterday morning, before going to school.

It happened when I was rushing to go to school because I'll be late, and before I even go upstairs towards my classroom, I noticed my classmates going the opposite way. Then, someone told me that Jomer was hit by a bus. He was with her sister, and they were both bleeding very badly. I felt shocked at first, not knowing what to do, so I headed towards our classroom. Just outside our room, some of my still classmates were talking and ventilating out their emotions -- some were crying, sobbing, and others were comforting those who were crying.

I entered the room and sat down quietly. Why is this a big deal for them, anyway? I know he'll be all right. Then, more details came later on. We found out he had broken pelvic, and it had to be replaced fast. He also had internal bleeding, more on the stomach part, and large open wounds on the arms and stomach. His body part was bleeding -- and not stopping because of the tires of the bus that ran over him. Yes, it was hit and run. His sister was bleeding more, particularly on the upper part of her body -- her head. Her eyes were swollen, and her nose won't stop bleeding too. All in all, we couldn't describe it if we were to see it in details.

Poor Jomer! I wonder, what's God's purpose why he was the one who had that accident. He was such a nice guy, grateful to his parents, caring to her sister, and is doing very good at school. He was also expecting that he'll graduate with us, his classmates. Now, he can't. He still needs at least four months to recover, and we only have less than 15 days more before the final quarter will be up. I remember one time that we once joked him about he going to be a priest one day. It suits him well; his face even has features of a good one. But why? Why not someone who deserves it more? Why not me?

After classes, our class decided to go to the hospital to visit him. But his parents wouldn't let us. Her mother said they won't be accepting visitors for 45 days. 45 days? But that's too long? We can't wait that long... That'll be after the graduation already! Oh, how we'll miss him. I hope he'll be healed fast. Please, everyone. Please pray for him. Jesus Christ, the best doctor in the world, please heal him.

Tammy: Nope, but I think I'll install one. I do have mirc though. I'm usually chatting at weekends at #usths. :P You may just give me the time and date on when you are free. Thanks, by the way. :)
Chau: Yeah, I'm glad it was over.

02.01.05 | The Junior-Senior Promenade, Part One

I don't know why I'm feeling so miserable. I said to myself not to be depressed again, but... I guess I sometimes would want to be depressed than to paint a fake smile on my face.

Finally The Promenade has ended yesterday. I have a great time with my friends and... close friends. I even saw my former crush, Peter, dancing with another girl, though for the first time, I've not felt any jealousy. I can really say to myself that I've finally gotten over him. I'm happy, of course... but that doesn't end there, 'cause another scene entered the picture... [This'll be the first part of my story, okay? It's kinda long and I'll just continue the second part on my next update. Oh, yeah, maybe I'll also add the pictures later. God bless!]

The Story

5:00 pm. I'm so excited! I'm already done with my make-up and dress, and I'm just waiting for my parents to come downstairs and get dressed up too. Then, while waiting, somebody called. It was Don! [By the way, Don was one of my close friends and classmate in 2nd year High School.] He told me he would be waiting for me at the main lobby of Manila Hotel (where our JS Prom was held). I said okay, and hang up the phone.

5:40 pm.My parents were too slow! The registration there starts at 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and we haven't even called a taxi yet! While waiting, I went to the kitchen to find my bag. Unfortunately, my cousin, Bernadette, who was also in there, suddenly dropped the plastic cup with fishball sauce! And what happened?? It spilled all over my dress! Yuck! Now, what?!? Gratefully, my godmother helped me clean the mess up. I also sprayed some perfume on my dress to help keep the bad odor away. Good thing my dress was printed, so the stain was not clear. Then, they finally came downstairs. What are they doing upstairs that long, anyway? We called for a taxi and off we went to Manila Hotel.

6:00 pm.I arrived early, as I thought. Looking for Don, James (also one of my close friends) found me instead. We went inside and fetched Iver (again, one of my close friends), which was on the 14th floor of the hotel. Then, going back, I was worried that Don might be looking for me. So I looked around to find him, and just as we (James and I) were about to go out, he stood there with a girl.

6:10 pm.I approached him and demanded why HE'S LATE. He said sorry then complimented my looks. I blushed and contrasted that I looked like a monster with make-up on. He smiled and we went inside together.

At the table, he was staring at me, and I kept on blushing. The nerve of him! Why does he always do this to me?!? Then I calmed myself and kept my cool. 'He's just acting normal, Rosa, so act normal also.' Our group (there were 10 persons in a table, though we're only 8) talked about different things (which we SHOULDN'T talk about during the promenade): money, politics, even sex in a novel (they appreciated the cinematography of one sex scene in 'Joy Luck Club').

6:10 pm.Dinner finally started. I really hope the food would be edible enough for me to eat. Fortunately, everything was great (except the soup, I really don't like the taste of 'Asparagus Soup'). I think what I like most was the 'Baked Alaska', simply because it's made of ice cream. :P

7:00 pm.During the dinner, the cottilion entered and danced on the floor. I saw my friends there, looking serious, at the same time, having fun. Wow, I wished I was there too. :P Oh well, that's fate.

7:30 pm.After dinner, the lights on the huge chandelier suddenly dimmed, and the first band started to play a sweet music...

To be continued!

Chette: Thanks! :)
Tammy: Heheh, I don't like Nursing because sometime later, when I graduate, there'll be no more slots for me. Besides, it's a tough work.
Kelly: Blade Children are, well, still not clear on the anime, but one thing is sure: they have incomplete no. of ribs and they were hunted down. But, because of their only 'salvation' or hope, Ayumu, they were saved from the Hunters. Ayumu uses his amazing wit to disarmed the bombs and solve the riddles.
Chau: Heheh, actually, I'll take up Computer Science first, then continue with I.T. Then, I'm off to my career as a detective! :)
Lance: Thanks for linking my site! I've also linked yours now. :) I hope we could meet sometime. Oh, and I'm not really that pretty. :P
