L
o Meng was born in Hong Kong. He studied the art of Mantis Fist Boxing (To Chi Gung
for most of his life. Lo Meng's first film appearance was in Death Chambers. He has been in over 30 Shaw
Brothers productions and still makes occasional appearances on TV.
Usually casted as the slow tihnking, very kind but aggressively stong hero, Lo Meng was the best in the group when it came to
unarmed hand to hand combat. He is the only one to display his rare form of Mantis Fist Boxing onscreen. In Five Deadly Venoms, he played the Toad character - a strong,
hard bodied, immovable fighter. You really get to see his To Chi Gung training in
Invincible Shaolin and 2 Champions of Shaolin. His arm strengh, balance and incredible skill make
all of his onscreen fights some of the best, authentic hand to hand choreography ever captured on film.
