2004 Yearly CBL Awards Are Anounced!!!
The
Cyber Baseball League announced their award winners for the regular season,
they go as follows for the American Conference: MVP goes to Bo Ewell of the
Chicago White Sox who is the teams catcher and is a young 20 years old. He
batted .342, had 55 home runs with 174 RBI’s and scored 145 runs with 16 stolen
bases with 216 hits. His on base % was .432 and his slugging % was .689! How is
that for rookie stats!!! The American Conference Cy Young Award also goes to a
White Sox player, Dick Swallow earns it with 270.2 innings pitched, 26 wins
against only 4 losses!!! He had an incredible 1.86 ERA and 229 strike outs
through the regular season. He gave up 82 bases on balls. His rookie career
gives him 33 games pitched to add to the stats posted already. This kid has a
great future and Bryan Ewell the owner of the White Sox has a great team
building up from where the team was last season in the basement of the division
to the pennant winner! Rookie of the Year was Bo Ewell who was also MVP.
Rolaids relief man of the year was James Nelson of the Texas Rangers who had 41
saves in 55.2 innings pitched. Louisville Silver Slugger Awards
go to DH M. Bradley of the Indians, C-Bo Ewell of WhiteSox, 1B-Terry

Finally, The All
Star Game MVP was Starting Pitcher M. Clement of the Chicago Cubs.
This guy is one of
the best pitchers in the game and uses his pitches very well to fool hitters.
He is able to heavily rely on his great heater to strike guys out. He throws a
great sinker that drops off the table and forces batters to chase.
2004 Season In ReVIew:
The Blue Jays jumped out into first place almost
from the first game of the season and never looked back in their division. In
the American Central the White Sox and the Indians fought it out to near the
end of the season and in the west Mariners were just a bit much for the
competition of the teams there. In the National League the Phillies had a great
year with Derek Dloniak toting the load for the team. The Cubs in the Central
did well and in the west the Giants just did what they needed to do to win and
the Padres were the Wild Card team in! We shall see as no home run records were
broken or anything like that, it was just a great year with the new program of
MVP Baseball 2004 from EA Sports.

MVP: Ellis Burks: Batting Average-.517, 8 home Runs, 1 Stolen Base, 18 RBI’s, and 10 runs scored! Hitting the Series Winner In the Bottom of the 12th with 1 out to take the Series for the Marlins!!!
Season In ReVIew:
American League MVP Award goes to: Terry Wilson of the Minnesota
Twins. The Created Player In his Second Year hit .376, had 74 Homers, 219 hits
with 163 RBI’s, and scored 126 runs for his team! Amazing or what?
American League Cy Young Award Goes to: Kyle Saberhagen of the
Toronto Blue Jays. Another Created Player, in his First Year, he had 20 wins,
against only 3 losses, a 3.17 ERA 285 Strike outs with 241.1 innings pitched!
And he can hit too!
National League MVP Award Goes To: Gary Sheffield of the San
Francisco Giants. His 339 batting average, 53 Home Runs, 119 RBI’s and 178 Hits
went well with his 15 stolen bases and 103 runs scored to give him the
award.
National League Cy Young Award Does To: Livan Hernandez of the
Florida Marlins. He had a League Record 27 Wins against only 4 losses and a New
Record 1.61 ERA and 283 Strike Outs in 262 Innings Pitched. Congratulations is
in order to all o these men in their awards well earned and justified this
Season.
The 2003 Season went through
the schedule without a lot of note this year. No strike talk in the real
baseball world, and no Huge Stories in the CLB made for a interesting season,
but nothing earth shattering. While Terry Wilson and Gary Sheffield ran through
the season looking like Super Men, and Terry Wilson setting several records in
the CLB, the season dredged along. The Blue Jays didn’t come earth shatteringly
close to last years 124 wins, but 116 is nothing to shrug your shoulders at
either! The Angels broke their old record they had even with the Royals from
last year with most losses in a season at 67, and lowered the bar to 60!!! Ouch
that must hurt!!! This season was definitely entertaining as we shall see who,
what where and when a champion and Big Time Players will step up to the plate,
or in the field and do what needs to be done to win a championship.
Whitey Herzog has declared he will retire after this
season whether or not the Blue Jays win another World’s Championship, so that
leave’s Keith J. Wilson searching for another skipper to place behind his bench
for next year. Rumor has it that Yogi Berra is the leading candidate, even
though he has no Head Managing experience, Wilson has every confidence in him,
it is said.
2003 PlayOffs In ReVIew:
Golden Baseball Playoffs Soar Into Action!!!
The Golden Baseball Series is
Set:
In the American League Divisional Playoffs the Blue
Jays took out the Twins 3 straight to move on to face the Rangers who
overpowered the Detroit Tigers 3 games to 1, at least Detroit finally made the
playoffs again!!! In the National League the Marlins fought hard to knock off
the Cubbies 3 games to 2 to advance to face the Pirates who took out the Giants
3 games to 1.
In the League Championship Series in the American
League it was over before it even got started as the Powerhouse Blue Jays took
out the Texas Rangers in 4 straight games, to take the American League Title.
In the National League the Marlins had a tough fight again as they edged the
Pirates in 7 games 4 games to 3 and the Pirates had the home field advantage.
However in the end, the two best teams in baseball prevailed in Cyber League
Baseball to face off in the Golden Baseball Championship Series as they faced
off with the Marlins having the home field advantage in this years series.
Game one went to the Blue Jays 7-6 in 12 innings.
Game two again saw the Blue Jays Prevail 17-3 and it looked as though after two
games in Florida, the lights were out for the Marlins as travel day saw the
dawning of the day end up in Cyber Toronto, not the confines of Miami Florida
for the Marlins, when it rains it pours I guess? Game 3 in Toronto saw the Blue
Jays jump to the Brink of a second World Cyber League Baseball Championship as
they demolished the Marlins by the score of 15-4, and it looked as though game
4 would be nothing but a formality for the Jays to take the trophy under the
Ownership of Keith for the second time and their second Cyber Baseball League
Championship.
Game 4 however would be somewhat different as the
Marlins put up a fight as though they were a Marlin on a tourist hook in the
Atlantic off the coast of Miami! With the score 7-0 after 6 for the Blue Jays,
the fight went as if the Marlin had been pulled to the side of the fishing boat
and would fight relentlessly, and the Marlins yanked free of the barbed hook,
with all their might they ended the game in the 9th with a 13-9 win!
Game 5 again was a battle for the Marlins in Toronto still fighting at the edge
of the boat to hold off the fisherman’s scure. They managed a 12-10 upset of
the Blue Jays and travel day back to the healthy confines of Pro-Player Stadium
in Miami Florida. There they acted more like an unwounded mad, Attacking Shark
than a Marlin as they pulverized the Blue Jays in game 6, 14-1 to tie the
series at 3 games a piece behind Ellis Burks 3 Home Runs! Game 7 Will be VERY VERY
INTERESTING as Kyle Saberhagen gets the nod for the Blue Jays
and Russ Ortiz of the Marlins. It is do or die for both of the teams as the
game will determine the Golden Baseball Champion for the 2003 Cyber Baseball
League Championship.
Game
7 saw the game halted due to PS-1 Glitch and had to be restarted (Rain Out Rule
In CBL), the game went to the bottom of the 9th with a 1-0 Blue Jay
lead off a Quami Linsu Home Run in the 5th. The Marlins Ellis Burks
hit a homer with two out and a full count to take the game into the extra
innings. In the bottom of the twelfth inning Ellis Burks again nailed one, high
into the upper deck to take the game 2-1, and the Series 4-3 literally stealing
it from the Blue Jays, who once had a strangle hold lead on the series three
games to none! Congratulations to the Florida Marlins both of the MLB, and the
CBL for your championship in 2003. I am sure this will not be repeated soon
that the same teams win in both Leagues! The Marlins are owned in the CBL by
the PS-1, who will hand the reins over the smarter, more innovative owners of
the PS-2 in the coming season. Congratulations to the Marlins, Ellis Burks, and
all who are Marlin Fans. Keith Wilson and his bought Blue Jays will go back to
the drawing board, and with the switch to a PS-2 game for next season, there is
no telling how long it will take him to reassemble a team like that again!
Congratulations Marlins for Toppling the Kings of Baseball as the Huge Underdog
as your counterpart Marlins of MLB!

MVP: Jeff Kent: Batting Average-.437, 3 home Runs, 1 Stolen Base,
16 RBI’s, and 8 runs scored!
NOTE: Jason, owner of the Giants
has had his team stripped from him for his continuous arrest for narcotics,
mainly METH!!! Also for the probable sale and distribution of such materials,
probable theft and possession of stolen property, and other such actions. He
had this done half way through the regular season. We regret this action has
had to have had taken place but we do not want anyone of the like to be
involved with this Cyber Sports Federation. Should his team make the playoff,
and win any playoff monies, it would be split among his children and the League
Equally 3 ways. Jason, we wish you the best if and when you decide to put your
life on the right track.
NOTE:
Other team owners have lost their franchises as well due to the divorce of Keith J. Wilson & Cindy Ann Reinhold. It is regrettable, but it is what must be done for the sanctity of the leagues, and the availability of teams in the future for others. E-mails were sent out through the Newsletter for those who read the newsletter however no one returned E-mail asking for the continuation of their franchise under their ownership.
2002 Season In ReVIew:
National League Awards go to: MVP: Vincent Guerrero
of Nadine’s Colorado Rockies who had a .326 Batting Average with 53 home runs,
118 RBI’s 166 hits 32 stolen bases and scored 97 runs.
Cy Young National League: Pedro Martinez of the
Montreal Expos who had a record of 19 wins and 9 losses with a 2.87 era and
279.1 innings pitched with 324 strikeouts and 0 saves.
American League Awards go to: MVP: Quami Linsu of
Keith’s Toronto Blue Jays, this rookie catcher had a .369 batting average with
79 home runs, 198 RBI’s 212 hits 212 stolen bases and scored 156 runs!
Cy Young American League: Brad Radke of Trish’s Texas Rangers who had a 22 win 7 loss
season wit a 2.79 era and 270.2 innings pitched. He had 302 strikeouts and 0
saves.
The 2002 Season went on with
a peak interest throughout the season. For the first time in the league’s
existence Keith J. Wilson was not the skipper behind his team’s bench in which
he took ownership of. Instead he played General Manager and Owner and ran the
personnel department only while he allowed the team to be run in the dugout by
someone Johnny Bench. With the expertise of Whitey
Herzog and the personnel brains of Keith, they put together a record in baseball this season with 124 wins
and 38 losses A CLB RECORD!!! They ran away with the division to their
credit. Keith’s find of Quami Linsu the catcher who hit 79 home runs in the regular season was
astronomical and absurd as he crushed the record of Bonds in real baseball from
last season and did it without the aid of steroids! The Twins were awesome as
well under new ownership of Terry Wilson a silent owner who moved ownership of
all his teams from San Francisco to Minnesota. Carlene’s horrible front office
and field performance may have been left in Chicago where she left her old
teams for greener pastures in Atlanta where she was born. Trish’s team made the
playoffs as well as the Rangers fought hard to make the playoffs and get to the
final day on top of their division. Nadine’s Rockies clinched the wildcard and
made the playoffs as well. Joann’s Yankees finished far behind the Blue Jays,
however they were near the leaders of the other division leaders and caught the
wildcard spot in the American League.
2002 PlayOffs In ReVIew:
Golden Baseball
Playoffs Soar Into Action!!!
The Golden
Baseball Series is Set:
In the American League here is how the
match-up’s went. Terry’s Minnesota Twins had home-field advantage over Joann’s
New York Yankee team and took the series in a 5 game battle to advance to the
American League Championship. Texas with all the bat power was no match for
Toronto and the high dollar pay roll of General Manager and Owner Keith J.
Wilson’s team, the Toronto Blue Jays as they were out scored in a Three game
sweep 36 to 7! On went the battle for the American League Right to advance to
the Golden Baseball Championship!!! Toronto vs the severe underdog, the
Minnesota Twins of Terry. Minnesota took game 1 by the score of 16 to 1 and
shocked the Cyber sports world, could they actually knock off the
untouchables??? Actually a 16 to 1 upset awoke a sleeping den of lions as the
Blue Jays went on to take the next 4 games by the scores of 3-1, 16-7, 19-3,
24-1! To earn a spot in the Golden Baseball Cyber World Series for the American
League.
In the
National League it went more like this: Nadine’s Colorado Rockies Swept
Carlene’s Atlanta Braves 3-0 to earn a spot in the National League Championship
Series, and San Francisco, last years golden Baseball Champion swept the Reds
in three straight games as well to earn a spot to face the Rockies. In the
National League Championship series it was tight as the Rockies gave the Giants
all they could handle pushing the Giants to a seventh and deciding game in
Colorado at Coor’s field. In the top of the 8th the Giants took a
1-0 lead and never lost it, so they advanced to the Golden Baseball Series as
the National League Champion. They will face the Toronto Blue Jays for the
Golden Baseball Championship of the Cyber Sports Federation and for the Cyber
League Baseball Championship of 2002!!! Keith J. Wilson has taken himself from
behind the bench and is only the Owner and General Manager for the team, and as
the General Manager is still eligible for the $3.00 prize which is a
consideration for change in this winters talks and CSF review.
In the Golden Baseball Series it was a rematch of last year, the Toronto Blue Jays verses the defending champion San Francisco Giants without the owner Terry Wilson. It wasn’t even a battle as rookie pitcher sidewinder Saberhagen pitched game one through 8 innings as they allowed 2 ninth inning runs to take game one 16-2. Again Saberhagen started game two so they could get him up in the batting order he is such a strong hitter at least one time, he was taken out in the second inning as the Giants battled tough in San Francisco to only lose 8-7 in 10 innings to the Blue Jays. Game three was no match for the Giants in Toronto as the Blue Jays took out the Giants in a blow out 19-1 and game 4 saw the Blue Jays score all their runs in the first 3 innings as they swept the Giants and won 7-2. For the FIRST TIME IN CLB History Keith J. Wilson has ownership of a team that wins the Golden Baseball and is in control of the Front Office building personnel and hiring the Manager in Whitey Herzog. It has been an amazing year as they set a record for most wins in a season and other records as well.

Two Shockers In the League Series Championships. The
Cleveland Indians, who trailed 3-1 in games came back to win 3 straight! Two of
which were in Toronto, with game 7 ending by the score of 32-5!!! Toronto under
new Owner General Manager and Manager Keith Wilson, were humiliated by the
Indians in the last three games! A total embarrassment to the Toronto Blue
Jays.
The Atlanta Braves were ousted in 6 games by the
Chicago Cubs to move on to the Golden Baseball Championship Series of Video
Baseball!
This will mark only the second time in Video
Baseball League History in the WvSF that a non-Owned team will win the Golden
Baseball! This also marks the very first Golden Baseball Video World Series
that will have two un-Owned teams battling for The Golden Baseball. This has NEVER
HAPPENED Before! The Cubs made it this far, as you can see in the
regular season Standings, by making the playoffs with a Losing Record!!!!! This
also has never before happened. If they win the Golden Baseball it will show
that perhaps flaws do exist in the Baseball Playoff System.

CUBS WIN SERIES!!!
Well It Happened!!!!!!!! Some how the 79-83 Cubs
took the Golden Baseball Championship! For the First Time In CSF History a Team
with a Losing Record Wins A Title! They beat the San Diego Padres, They beat
The Atlanta Braves, then they beat the Cleveland Indians in 5 games to take the
Series!!!!!!!! Right Fielder Eric Davis
had 2 home runs in game 5 to go with 4 hits, he scored 3 runs and had 7 Runs
batted in to take the Player of the Game honors in game 5. It was not the
series expected as the Cubbies were expected to be taken out against the
Padres, and they won 3 games to 2. Then they were to be trounced by the Atlanta
Braves in 4 straight, but took the National League Series 4 games to 2!! Then
they advanced to the Golden Baseball Video World Series where they took the
Golden Baseball trophy in 5 games by winning games 1,2,3 and then 5 at Wriggley
Field for the Championship of the 2000 season!!! The MVP of the Series and
Playoffs as voted by the Computer was Pitcher Felix Heredia, who had 2 K’s, one
loss, an ERA of 11.2, and pitched 8 innings for the Cubbies.
The Indians I think were spent after coming from a
1-3 deficit against the Blue Jays to make it to the Golden Baseball Trophy
Final Series. Nothing can be taken away from the Cubs who had to win 12 of
their last 13 regular Season Games to make the playoffs if they were lucky and
had help. They did their part, and then did more to win the Golden Baseball
Trophy by winning 23 games and losing 7 in the playoffs. That is a remarkable
feat in itself!!! The Cubs deserved the Golden Baseball to bear their teams
name because they had the best winning streak going into the playoffs, 17 of
their last 20 games were wins, and the last 12 were wins to make the playoffs
if the Brewers would lose 3 games, which they did, and won the division by tie
breaker! Then the rest is history. Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs, the
National League Champions, and the Golden Baseball Champions of the 2000
Season! Golden Baseball Series VII

1999 Baseball Season
This year the
Game Pack has been changed, along with the Game System. This Season we are
Using the Sega Genesis Game System, and the EA Sports game Triple Play Baseball
“Gold Edition”. Some Teams were moved. Such as the Baltimore Orioles became the
Buffalo Bison’s, and the Milwaulkee Brewers became the Salt Lake Miracle
Mormons. The Season had a full season played, which brought the Salt Lake
Miracle Mormons the Golden Baseball Trophy. The records were not recorded
properly, so the Records for the Most Part have been lost. However The World
Series of Video Baseball has been preserved. And is marked below. This was the
first season with 3 divisions in each League, and a Wild Card Entry from each
League. This made the Season Immensely successful.
Team . Game 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Final
Salt Lake Miracle Mormons: 1 0 2 1
3 2 1 4
Atlanta Braves : 2
9 1 23 2 1
0 3
Game 1: In Atlanta, the Braves win in a defensive Battle.
Game 2: In Atlanta, The Braves pound the Miracle Mormons 9-0 on 9 solo shot home runs, as Greg Maddox pitches a no hitter!!!
Game 3: Game three saw the Miracle Mormons go to the bottom of the ninth tied at 1, when A Shot heard round the WvSF Sports world was hit by Mo Vaughn to give them a 2-1 edge making the series a 2-1 battle in what seemed like a easy 4-0 championship series for 2 time defending Atlanta Braves.
Game 4: Atlanta looked like their old selves as they defeated slaughtered the Miracle Mormons by the score of 23-1 on John Smoltz’s one hitter for the Braves, a one shot homer. This quieted the crowd and the series seemed over with 3 games to go, and the Braves only needing to take one, and two of them in Atlanta.
Game 5: The last game in Utah’s Franklin Covey Field, and the Miracle Mormons hang on to take it 3-2 with two walks and a Mo Vaughn Home run in the bottom of the Ninth!
Game 6: Back in Atlanta the Miracle Mormons were able to hang on and win in a pitcher’s duo with Randy Johnson, 2-1 to make the Series tied at 3 and a game 7 necessary.
Game 7: The Game went to the 11th inning before Mo Vaughn cranked out the third hit for the Miracle Mormons and stole the series from the Mighty Atlanta Braves with a 1-0 win in extra innings! The Series had been the Shocker of Video Sports history, as the Miracle Mormons win the Video Golden Baseball Series 4 games to 3 in Atlanta!!!
The Series MVP was Mo Vaughn who seemed to be the player who would not let the series die, nor would he consent to quit trailing 3-1 in games. Although the Custom Team The Utah Miracle Mormons and the Custom Team the Buffalo Bisons battled in the American League Championship Series, The Season was possibly the most successful of the League’s history. It should be noted that it was a very fun and interesting season with 3 super Teams, the Braves, the Bisons, and the Champion Miracle Mormons.Golden Baseball Series VI.

Because
baseball has such little interest, no regular season was played this season.
However The Yankees and The Braves were the only two teams who accepted the WvSF
invitation for the Golden Baseball. It has been decided that this will be the
last year for the Super Nintendo game, and that next Season a new Format must
be set in place.
Team . Game 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Final
New York Yankees 5
0 7 9 3 -
- 1
Atlanta Braves
6 8 0 3 5
- - 4
Game 1: In New York’s Yankee Stadium for game one, Ron Gant and Dave Justice each Hit a home Run to give Atlanta a 1-0 lead in the Video World Series for the Golden Baseball Trophy. The Atlanta Braves are trying to become the first Video Baseball team to win the Championship in two consecutive years. The winning teams have always been either Atlanta, or one of the two NY teams. Atlanta wins in NY 6-5.
Game 2: NY trailed 8-0 in the top of the sixth inning when the clouds gave way to Rain ( A computer glitch which caused the game to be called under rain out rules). Atlanta Shutout the NY Yankees in New York by the score of 8-0 with 9 hits, and 1 hit for NY. Game Three moves the Series to Atlanta.
Game 3: Game three in Atlanta was a complete turn around from the dominance we saw in game 2 in which many were calling for a sweep to happen heading to the three games in Atlanta. NY got great pitching from Kamanicki to take them back into the series.
Game 4: Atlanta looked like their old selves as they defeated the New York Yankees in Atlanta 9-3. Game 5 in Atlanta could bring the Atlanta Braves their second consecutive Golden Baseball. Atlanta has no stand out for MVP yet, although I don’t think that the Yankees will go down without a fight!
Game 5: The first three innings went scoreless as the Yankees held the Heavily favored Braves at bay. NY was fighting in all despiration to get the series home to face the Braves for games 6 and 7. But it wasn’t meant to be. The Yankees had a 2-0 lead, but could not hold it. The Braves Terry Pendleton hit a three run shot in the sixth to give the Braves the lead. The Yankees would tie it on a double steal to second, and the man at third ran in to score the tying run. New York just didn’t have the pitching in the end as the Braves belted in two runs to take the game 5-3, and put an end to the series.
Game 6: not needed.
Game 7: not needed.
The Series MVP was Fred McGriff who had 4 homers in the series and batted over 400.00 until the Yankees got wise and walked him in game 5 on all but one time in which he batted in the game winning run as he singled to end up being the 5th run.
Review
of the Season: Only the Yankees and the Braves accepted invitations to the League
championship series. Baseball had sunk to the bottom last season in the WvSF.
This Season they endured and the Video Golden Baseball Series went on. With the
resurgence of Baseball in America, and with Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa’s home
run derby for 70 home runs, the resurgence of Baseball was in the air accross
the US and Canada. Baseball in the Wilson Home was still not a major interest
until late in the season. It never turned into one at peak interest. After all,
Roger Maris probably didn’t hit 62 home runs taking steriods, or any supplement
that is illeagle at the major college level! He probably lifted weights and had
a beer now and then. So what is the big deal with McGuire? He didn’t do it
without the help of a supplement (Drug) that is MBL Legal! So what gives?
However the WvSF continued their tradition if not with a season, at least with
heated rivalry in the fact that Dad vs Daughter is turning into a major
rivalry. Daughter 2, Dad 0! With the
trade off of WvSF Football teams, it could become a rivalry there as the 49ers
are now owned by the Trish.

1997 Baseball Season In
Review
In the full capacity of
honesty the entire season was played out by the computer in early October. This
was done mostly because of the
resentment towards the Major Leagues of real baseball and total lack of
interest. The 8 teams and their records are listed above. They qualified for
the playoffs. The WvSF Baseball League qualifies the top two teams in each of
the 4 divisions. The top two teams battle it out in a 5 game series with the
division champion being the team with the Home Field advantage. We play first
game at Home field advantage, then the next two at 2nd place teams
field and the final two games (if necessary) at the Division Champions home
field. With the lack of interest, the computer played these games as well. The
results are listed above. The two League Championship Series were played by the computer as well. The results are
posted above. The World Series of (Video) baseball will pit The Atlanta Braves
against the Toronto Blue Jays. Keith Wilson’s team vs Trish Wilson’s team.
These games were played by the human rivalries. The report of these games is
given below.

Toronto Blue Jays 5 6

Atlanta Braves 6 0

Game 1: In
Atlanta for Game One Toronto led to the bottom of the ninth inning 5-3. Ron Gant hit a 3 run homer to pull out the game
for the Braves, 6-5 to take a 1-0 series lead.
Game 2: Atlanta was shut-out in Atlanta by Toronto
6-0. Both teams finished with 8 hits. Game 3: Atlanta out
lasted Toronto, and won by the count of 3-1 on a Gant Homer in the 7th
inning that proved the winner for Atlanta and gave them a 2-1 game lead!
Game 4:
Toronto showed some resiliency in game 4 and Juan Guzman threw a 2
hitter, with the both of Atlanta’s hits coming in the 8th inning.
This 2 hitter set a new WvSF baseball record for best pitching performance ever
by a human run team. Toronto shut down Atlanta, and knocked them out in game 4
by the count of 12-0 Roberto Alamar came through with 3 home runs! Joe
Carter had one and slumping Devon White had 2 homers as they demolished
Atlanta, and took them to school!
Game 5: In the bottom of the 12th the
Blue Jays won 4-3 on a Devon White single knocking in Rickey Henderson for the
run!
Game 6: The Braves pulled this one out as Fred
McGriff tallied his first two homers of the Series and Ron Gant swung another
one as the Braves force a Game 7 in Atlanta. Manager Keith Wilson of the Blue
Jays has an opportunity to win his third “Golden Baseball” Trophy as a Manager
for his third team! Or Atlanta will be the first team to have won two “Golden
Baseballs”. Who will it be, you’ll have to wait and see, will Trish or Keith
capture the trophy and the $5.00 prize?
Game 7: Game 7 in Atlanta was a thriller! As Dave
Justice nailed three over the wall knocking in 4 runs to lead his Braves into
the Golden Baseball championship Champion position. The Blue Jays had the bases
loaded on pitcher Paul Stanton with 1 out, and Glavine came in to take the Blue
Jays to 3 outs and NO runs! It was then a cruise to the Second Golden
Baseball Trophy Championship for the Braves! Dave Justice joins Olson, as the
only team with two MVP players on it! Congratulations to Trish Wilson and the
Atlanta Braves for taking the Series in 7 games and the Golden Baseball and the
$5.00 first prize!
The 1997 regular season was played by the computer
only. Those owners and managers who had their teams qualify had an option of
Managing their teams into the playoffs, None chose to. However when Toronto and
Atlanta both made the Golden Baseball Series Championship, the two managers
were ready for the first Human vs Human matchup in a WvSF Championship since Video
Bowl I. The WvSF’s reputation for upsets wasn’t to be a disapointment as
Rookie Manager Trish Wilson led Atlanta to its second WvSF Golden Baseball
Trophy in 4 years and made them the first baseball team to capture 2
Championships. Congratulations to Trish Wilson, Golden Baseball Champion Owner
G.M. and Manager, and winner of the $5.00 cash prize! Golden Baseball Series IV

The 1996 Championship (The Golden Baseball) was
awarded to the NY Yankees. Keith Wilson was General Manager and Manager. His
second golden Baseball, but again, he did not own the team! They defeated the
Montreal Expos 4 games to 3 and the MVP was Jim Leyritz. He played off the
bench brilliantly and was the hero of the series. Don Mattingly was a no-show
player, producing next to nothing as a non contributor on the field,
particularly his batting skills. The manager Keith Wilson left shortly after
the close of the season to assume command of the Toronto Blue Jays
organization. He and Computer owner George Steinbrenner could not come to agreeable
terms for Keith to continue as Manager in NY. Keith stopped to Manage the
Yankees here after a year off from baseball in the video league. He had left
the Brave organization after Carlene assumed ownership of the Atlanta team. His
frustration with Major League Baseball (The real MLB), forced his decision to a
non participatory season. MVP= Jim Leyritz 4 home runs in last 3 games!
Golden Baseball Series III
These 3 seasons were combined as all old records
have not been computer kept prior to the 1997 season, or they were lost or
trashed by the WvSF office by order of the Commissioner. All these previous
champions have won their division and qualified for the playoff structure as
designed by the WvSF Baseball League. All other Baseball Seasons will be kept
as separate listings within this folder.

The 1995
Championship (The Golden Baseball) was awarded to the NY Mets. The Computer was Owner, Coach and General Manager.
The whole season was computer played and the Mets won over the Chicago
Baltimore Orioles in 6 games. No MVP was selected because the series was played
100% by the computer and no MVP was chosen. MVP= Bobby Bonilla of the Golden
Baseball Series II

The 1994 Championship (The Golden Baseball)
was awarded to The Atlanta Braves with Keith Wilson as Manager and General
Manager. He did not own the team! The Braves beat the Toronto Blue Jays in 7 games.
Greg Olsen was the MVP of the Golden Baseball world series of video Baseball,
He hit 4 home runs in 3 games as the hero and catcher of the Series.
