I've walked a thousand paths,
I've met a million people.
I've sailed on with a yacht,

I've overcomed my countless fears,
I've been strong all through the years.
I've written an endless poem,
I've read a hundred stories.
I have built my own good home,
I have planted lots of trees.
But all through the days of my life
I've never found a true friend,
and it cuts my heart like a knife
it feels like it was the end.
But when you suddenly came,
a lot of things have changed.
With you it was never the same,
for there's something in me that I gained.
When I smile I know it's worth it,
For with you my day is complete.
Your words lifted my spirit
and with you I could stand on my feet.
Of all the people I've ever known,
I never expected it to be you.
But of all the lies the world have shown,
only you remained to be true.
Your heart is pure and genuine,
Your words are trully kind.
though your thoughts were left unspoken,
you'll never be left behind.
And when one day I felt so alone
you're there and offered your time.
You're miles away but we've both grown,
