This eleven-rune layout is based on
the four quarters of the year. It is ideal
when you need a precise answer to a complex
question as well as an overall view of your
life for the past six months and the next
six months.
Decide on a question about something that
has been affecting you for about six months.
Begin by mixing your runes and select the
first eleven that come to you, placing them
facedown in a horizontal row in front of you.
Then turn over each rune, one at a time, and
place it in its correct position according to
the layout above, beginning with Rune #1 and
moving in a sunwise (clockwise) pattern,
ending with Rune #11 in the center. In this
layout, each row is divided into quarters and
read accordingly.
Rune #1, #2, and #10:
These three runes, to the left, represent the
First Quarter, and indicate your present state
of mind.
Rune #5, #6, and #7:
These three runes, to the right, signify the
Second Quarter, and show possible helpful or
opposing influences in regard to the question.
Rune #3 and #4:
These two middle runes at the top symbolize
the Third Quarter, and reveal what will happen
if things continue in their current direction.
Rune #8 and #9:
These two middle runes in the bottom row denote
the possible outcome of the question six months
from now.
Rune #11:
The eleventh and final rune, in the center,
represents the overall tone of the rune spread.
