Re: U know what i think?
Right i know and most of u may know that there is this site called
"celebatheists" or something like that. What it is all about is in
the name, celebrity atheists. Now this site names them all (well
most) and that site is bassically all that it is about no real facts
or anything. Now i visited this site and the 1st thing i woundered
was why? Why is this site here? Now any 1 who is reading this right
now can help me on this with their opinion but i figured that the
only reasons the site is there is 4 other atheists to be either b
encourged to stay an athiest (when they may b douting) and to give
them a reason to b one ("oh well he's really famous and he is an
atheist oh i guess i'll b 1 2) And atheist's say "it's their own
choice" "noone makes them" Maybe noone makes them but this site sure
influences them It's basically persuasive advertising. well that's
what i think.

Yes, Unfortunatly, for some, you're probably right. Some less than
confident atheists may enjoy seeing famous people with like beliefs.
But I'm fairly certain this is quite a minority. If you asks most
atheist's why they don't believe in god(s) I doubt you'll get a story
of them saying how they were inspired because Joe Celebrity doesn't
believe in god(s). I saw the sight earlier off of someones link, I
didn't look at it for encouragement, more for curiosity.

The page may also be used to try and promote tolerance among theists,
at least that would seem the most rational explanation to me. If a
religious person sees some celebrity they like that happens to be an
atheist, they may be more accepting of atheists around their own
envirioment.

Re: U know what i think?
Yes i understand that it maybe that not all atheists turn to that
site for confidence and for some Christians it may help them be more
accepting of atheist but you see (now go'n onto another topic), one
myth of Christians is that they hate atheists or think their "evil"
which i believe is completly untrue.
Most of what people think of Christians today is totally untrue and
it makes me angry when people who claim to be "Christians" start
judging people.
They are a bad example of what a being a true Christian is all about.
There are so many myths out there about Christians due to a few
stupid things so called Christian's have said and done.
Homosexuality for example, Christians have been dubbed "homo haters",
"homophobics", and other such names of which SOME Christians may be
(which they shouldn't) or come across as (when their not).
Now i am not agreeing that homosexuality is right or that it is not a
sin but it shouldn't be the person you hate but the act, for God
still loves the person but not the act of homosexuality.
And in saying this i also know and understand that there are some
myths about atheists.

Re: U know what i think?
Absolutely, I get very annoyed by people who are predjudice. I have
several good friends who are strong Christians, most of the time they
are very accepting. That's one thing I like about our generation
(again, a generalization, not always true) for the most part people
seem a lot more open and accepting. I find a lot more prejudice
coming from older people than from people my own age.

I have faced several Christians that looked down on me for my
beliefs, but not many by any means. Most seem to just accept it as no
big deal.

With that said, almost all Christians I've met believe Homosexuality
is a sin (although most don't hate homosexuals). If I'm not mistaken
the Bible highly frowns upon homosexuality. I don't quite understand
this, why would God create homosexuals? Even if you believe in free
will, sexual urges are caused by hormones in the body. It's not like
making a desicion on belief or morality.

Researchers now estimate homosexuality is about 50% enviromentally
controlled and 50% genetic. Fruit flies' DNA combinations have been
altered to make them exibit homosexual behaviour. Identical Twins
tend to be gay more often than fraternal twins, and the male/female
sexuality ratio is roughly 2:1. All of this suggests that sexuality
is at least partly genetic.

Your question asked was why would God Create Homosexuals if the Bible
frowns apon it so much.
Putting aside the genitic side of things for the moment, God made all
people and all people are born into sin.
He didn't Create them homosexuals. Before sin entered the world(u know
Adam and Eve)He had inteded to create us pure. But sin is now
something inside us that will not go away 'till the day we physically
die.
To the genetic part:
Homosexuality is basically an evil spirit.
Now i have known homosexuals to say "they didn't choose to be
homosexuals but that they always were", & "That they always new they
were diferent."
True in a small way as that they wern't "born" homosexuals
but when they were very young the spirit of homosexuality entered
them .
Why them and not others?:
If you say it's genetic in a small way this may also be true the
spirit was passed down.
How?:
Their environment they may have grown up in, constantly being
surrounded by evil acts meaning they are easily open and vulnerable
to the spirit of homosexuality, among others.
