| "Why and how does god have anger?" I think He does, i don't know how i don't know why but it doesn't really matter if He does or does not, and if you really want to know why don't you ask Him, literally?! |

| Mainly I don't ask him because I don't believe that
he exists, with or without aggression or love. I've seen no evidence to prove that your christian god, nor any other god actually exists. You and all religious people SAY your god exists and that your holy books prove it, but you can't prove the existence of your god nor that your holy books are his word. It seems to me that man creates god in his own image. If it's a sweet, gentle, loving person creating a god then that god is sweet, gentle and loving. If the creator of the god is violent and cruel, then the god he creates is violent and cruel. You can tell what kind of people have created a god by the personality of the god. The god created by the Jews and Christians is one of the most violent, evil, cruel gods ever created, which tells you a lot about those who created him. It tells you quite a bit about those who would belong to such a religion also! |

| Does that mean you don't exsist coz you don't have a
God? Or you don't have enough personality to make up a God? Don't bother answering that, I really don't care, just stop insulting my God. |

| There is different meanings to the word belief. The
faith kinda belief is just one of them. In example, "I believe that you owe me an apologie". Does that have anything to do with faith? \Fredrik |

| Sorry you took my statement as an insult. But then I
take a lot of the christian ranting and raving as insults also. Princessdnz, men have created many different gods in this world. In fact, your christian god is a minority god in the world today. Two thirds of the worlds population is non christian. Unless you have irrefutable proof that your god is better than their god and that indeed that your god actually exists, then your religion is no more credible that theirs. As far as insulting your god, It's impossible for me to insult something that doesn't exist! |

| Because he doesn't excist, maybe??? Really, if it were a god, he is highly ignoring us. If we look at the bible, he was there all the time and made his precense known... How much have we seen of god in today's society??? I havn't seen him, at least. If i see god, i promise that i will believe in him \Fredrik |

| True - folk-tales handed down for generations by word
of mouth - then written down, copied and recopied. Like playing "telephone", the story at the end isn't as it started. According to Sir James George Frazer's "Folklore in the Old Testament", the myths of the Fall are based on man's yearning for immortality. Due to the habit of certain species of snakes of periodically shedding their skins, primitive man got the idea that serpents were immortal. The biblical story is not complete. God sent the snake to tell the first people to eat of the fruit of the Tree of Life, so that they might live forever; and to warn them against eating of the fruit of the Tree of Death, for if they eat this forbidden fruit they (and future generations) would surely die. The wily serpent reversed the message, and, unfortunately the first people believed him. Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and became mortal. The sly snake helped himself to the fruit of the Tree of Life and gained immortality for himself and his kind. Since the story of the "snake stealing immortality" had been preserved in several African cultures, Frazer believed the biblical story to be African in origin. |

| "Really, if it were a god, he is highly ignoring
us." No we, not He, is highly ignoring us. People don't wanna believe there is a God they want nothing to do with Him, they can't face the fact that there is 1 so they ignore every doubt they have of there atheism they block out everything ppl may say about God for they are scared of the truth, atheist quotes give them confidence, "facts" give them comfort. They only see, hear and think what they wanna. Why can't we see God?His glory and power is so bright that noone would be able to stand it.He is Bright and shinning God. It would be too overwelming and Awesome beyond words. |

| Oh really??? If this god of yours is so divine, can't he lower himself to our level?? Wasn't jesus a part of god that was sent to earth?? I think that such a divine being would be able to lower himself to our level, at least so that we could look at him without dying. You can't say that we just ignore god, since there is no ignoring of things that does not exist. As long as i don't have any proof for the fact, exept some old stories, i'm not going to believe in it. Be reasonable and see the truth, there is just no way there is a god out there. \Fredrik |

| What tickles me is how you Christians will accept as
fact the most barbarous, fantastic, obviously ridiculous myths from your bible and then turn around and call the myths from other religions false! The people who believe in the other religions have as much faith in their myths (all of them no more ridiculous than your Christian ones) that theirs are true. None of you theists, no matter what religion you have been brainwashed into believing in can prove that yours is true and that the others are all wrong. It's rather humorous to listen to you all spout your religious mania and claiming it is totally true and all others false. It's only by standing back like us Atheists have done, putting distance between ourselves and the myths that you can see them all in perspective and see them all for what they are....MYTHS with no evidence to support them as reality!!!!! Doesn't matter how much any of you rant and rave and throw around bible scriptures or threaten with hells fire and damnation, you don't have any solid basis of fact to support your faith. |

| Excuse me, but not ALL theists walk around
"claiming it is totally true and all others false." There are many religions, including mine, that do NOT do that. We(I) think that my way is right for ME and me alone....you have the freedom of choice to have faith/belief/whateverwordyouwannausehere in whatever diety/non-diety you chose...as long as you respect that others have different views from yourself. you should not be so quick to throw around hot- tempered insults. It does nothing but upset people.(it certainly isnt improving the quality of this discussion.) Therefore, CHILL OUT PEOPLES! :P bb, 3/4angel ps: out of curiosity...what does everyone think about "cloning" ? are you pro or con and why? (and yes there is a a reason for the " " of the word). |

| 1. all generalisations are false 2. Not all christians do that, and it's not just us - you are doing it too in your own way and so do all other religions (except bahai) 3. Of course we (generally) call other religions false. It would be awfully confusing if we agreed with all religions, and anyhow, if we did, it would mean we didn't believe in our own religion, and obviously we do. Do you expectus to go around telling eeveryone that their religion is the right one? Well, sure we could, but thats not what we believe. We believe that our religion is the right one, not all the others. Just to contrdict myself, I think that all religions are basically the same - we all believe in a higher power (God/s or other/s, depending on the religion), and we all worship and praise Him/Her/Them. To be honest, and I don't know if this is true, or if Catholics are supposed to belive this, but I think that God will not condemn anyone for being in the 'wrong' religion. As long as a person truely believes in and worships a God, (not the devil btw) then God will not condemn them into hell. That just what I think, and it doesn't make much sense written down, but it makes sense in my head... :P |
