"...3. Of course we (generally) call other religions false..."

are you mad because she feels that way? sorry, but how could you be?
when it comes to religion (or politics, or any other major issue type
of thing) a person generally feels that they are correct in their
standings, thus the other viewpoint is wrong(ie false). this is not
to say that they think your(or anyone else's view)is wrong, its just
wrong to them.

" but I think that God will not condemn anyone for being in
the 'wrong' religion. As long as a person truely believes in and
worships a God, (not the devil btw) then God will not condemn them
into hell."

that belief is typically not accepted by most christians, but i like
it:) to each their own, right;)

Well as an atheist we don't believe in god. It is just every time we
ask questions about how we come to be creation is just the easy
answer. The easy way to go about living just say and thinking to
your self god made everything he made me and thats it. Because
atheists aren't closed minded we know it isn't that simple.

"ps: out of curiosity...what does everyone think about "cloning" ?
are you pro or con and why? (and yes there is a a reason for the " "
of the word)."

Could you be more specific? Cloning is pretty broad. I'm very much in
favor of cloning animals, especially to produce more food. Humans,
I'm not really sure. I think it would highly depend on the situation.
I'm certainly in favor of the progression of cloning research, I
think it's important to keep our thirst for knowledge in science.

In the old days it was easy, a couple obvious rules to keep people
from stealing and killing, and that was the most of what you needed.
Now with such a high level of technology (and population) the best
choices aren't so obvious.

Genetically engineered children could be created with perfectly fit
bodies, and minds sharp as a tack. The morality in doing this kind of
goes up and down in my mind. Wouldn't this be like Hitler's plan for
the ultimate race? Of course, engineered children could be still very
diverse racially, sexually, etc. And we wouldn't be slaughtering
innocent people to get there, so...what do you guys think?

maybe some of us got sick of debating the current topics, so here's a
new one...

What are your thoughts on Christmas? It's basically seen as a
christian religious holiday by current principle, it's origins for
the date/customs/etc are pagan, and it is used now-a-days as more of
a retail thing than anything else.(some shops/retail stores rely on
the holiday to make ends meet for the whole year). Any opinions out
there?

I think that people really need to know what christmas is about. I
don't care if they don't believe inGod and that Jesus was Gods son
(although it's kind of annoying that they are celebrating something
they don't believe in but what are you going to do?). It made me sick
last night when I was watching this christmas special on tv, and they
asked these kids what christmas was about and they all said presents.
ugh. little brats. Presents are so not important. On a global scale,
Christmas should be a day of happiness, love and above all peace.
Christmas is a day of family and friends and togetherness. It is not
about presents.

I agree totally agree with that. It is a time to get togeather and
be happy. I do think with in all this it is ok to give and receive
and have fun with doing this. But it is not ok to over the top with
the giving and receive.

Christmas is so un-related to religeon here, compared to the olde days. You
like it because it brings you presents, and that yuletide joy feeling :).
That "Christ was born" thing is soo out by now, and the remains can easily
be ignored by atheists.

Yes, u can ignore it, but u can't deny it!(u can't deny that Jesus
Christ lives & that He is real!)(as much as u think u may, can or do!)
Plus Christmas is not just something to do with Jesus Christ it is
named after Him, Christ-mas.(Pretty hard to ignore if u ask me)

Oh, I think that it's Christ-mas eve.... Let's eat some Christ-mas
pudding... Do you think so, every time you hear the word? The swedish word,
"Jul", has nothing to do with christ, so... And when i hear the word
christmas, i'm certenly not thinking it has something to do with the person
jesus that may or may not have lived. Gimme one reason why Christ wasn't the
leader of an organization to rule a country? I mean, him and his aphostles
(sp?) writing down how good they are and how much mirachles (sp?) they can
do.. Duh? Doesn't sound so very saviorish to me.

(this is from a post in one of my clubs)

There is historical data that can backup that a person by the name of
Jesus Christ was crucified by the romans, and there is proof of the
early church, but that is only the tip of an iceburge. The realy
reason that many of the people in this yahoo goup believe in God, and
the Church is because they have experienced the Lord in their lives,
through prayer or in other ways. This serves to strenghten our faith.
Faith is what allows us to believe, you will never find in a history
textbook proof of the resurection of God, but we KNOW becuse of our
faith.
I don't know if this helped you, but the best thing i could tell you
is that Faith is very powerful thing that can open up new revelations
and blessings.

~ this is sooo true - you can say there is no God if you want, but
saying there was no Jesus is like saying that I was never here
because you have never met and seen me with your own eyes. There is
evidence - yers, scientific evidence, that Jesus Christ was a real
living person, who was condemed to death by crucifixion.
