Although I'm still unclear on how or why god wants anything to begin with. |

He's perfect. Added to that, he is cruel and doesn't care much, considering some aweful things he did in the bible. Didn't he flood the earth to kill almost all humans? Is that an act of a good god??? I would say no. |

I get sick thinking about all the poor babies and children that must have been killed in the flood. I have no idea how god can be considered "good" after committing such an act of genocyst. Not even Satan has done something that bad...come to think of it, what's the worst thing Satan has done in the bible? What's more, god did all this because he supposedly screwed up, he didn't like his creation. How could such a high and mighty being mess up that bad? Or at all? |

A worldwide flood is impossible, even if all of the ice caps melted and such, it wouldn't be enough. There's just not enough water. After that, biologically there is no way certain bacteria and diseases could survive today if the flood happened. There is proof that the area that is now the black sea may have flooded a while ago. I think the writer(s) of Genesis may have heard the story of a great flood and fudged it a little (or maybe after such a long time the story evolved). Or maybe it's just a coincidence and the flood was entirely made up. |

Not even Satan has done something that bad...come to think > of it, what's the worst thing Satan has done in the bible? You're right. The things satan has done in the bible isn't really bad at all, come to think of it. He stood up to god, and he got banished. He got banished just because he didn't want to do the things this evil god told him to do. Actually, he did stand up to him because he didn't want the humans to be considered equal to the angels, but that's beside the point. Obey me, foolish angels, or else I'll banish you stupid asses down to hell! God said, while he was planning to kill most of mankind some houndred years later. The other thing satan did was to enlighten humans in the garden of eden. Was eating from that tree really a bad thing to do?? Was it? It made us aware of what was going on around us, it made us think for ourselves, it made us INDIVIDUALS! And not some part of "God". It gave us free will. Is that bad??? IS THAT BAD? Oh, I guess satan is a good thing after all. > What's more, god did all this because he supposedly screwed up, he > didn't like his creation. | LOL, in continuance with all of this. Anyone have any
ideas as to WHY god would choose to flood the earth? It seems like such a inefficient plan. Wouldn't he have better ways to murder mankind? A nice plague would do the trick, not as messy either, and he wouldn't have to worry about the animals. |

If that was an act of god, then it would be all the same... How many innocent children died of the plague?? How many priests died??? |

Christianity's supreme evil being has more morality than their god...scary. "Obey me, foolish angels, or else I'll banish you stupid asses down to hell! God said, while he was planning to kill most of mankind some houndred years later." LOL! God's a dictator! "The other thing satan did was to enlighten humans in the garden of eden. It gave us free will. Is that bad??? IS THAT BAD?" I'm very suspicious of any belief that equates intelligence with evil. Satan gave Adam and Eve the brains to figure out who they are. The message: Learn too much and god gets angry. Just trust god. As it turns out god was lying to them, he said when they ate the apple they would die. Satan told the truth, when they ate the apple, they got smart. "You are right, as always." ;) Likewise |

I just meant that as an expample that it seems like an easier way of killing people off than a flood. If god wanted to destroy most of mankind, a disease seems like a better idea than a flood. |
