In the Filipino category the winners were Ann Guadalquiver (First, Feature Writing), Colleen April Celis (First, Editorial Writing), Gelvin Velasco (First, Copy Reading & Headlining), Sanny Mark Cunanan (First, Sports Writing).
The top four winners in the division will represent the Division of Iloilo City in the Regional School Press Conference, which will be held at INHS, La Paz, Iloilo City on November 23 - 24.
Just like in the division level competition. The RSPC aims primarily to choose the student - journalists in the elementary and secondary level who will then represent the regions in the National Schools Press Conference to be held next year.
PSHS-WV was been a major contender in the RSPC since 1996 when it first grabbed the overall championship trophy for garnering the most number of points via the winners in various contests.
The following year, it again ruled the Cabatuan RSPC championship crown only to lose it to Bago City National High School the next year in Antique.
Stung by the previous years' defeat, it came back to wrestle the Victorias and Bago City RSPC's in 1999 and 2000 respectively.
This year, it will again prove itself in the Iloilo National High School whether it is still a formidable force in campus journalism.
