Textile and Garments
Garments industry in Sta. Maria maintains its standing although global competition is very significant. Photo shows the Square Gem Garments owned by Mr. & Mrs. Romeo Teves employing more or less 100 employees. Their products are sold at the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Present survey shows that there are three textile and 163 garment factories operating in Sta. Maria. These establishments provide 2,217 registered employment.
Food Processing
There are about 63 food processing establishments in Sta. Maria. Of these are 23 bakeries.bakeshops, 4 ice-cream / ice-drop factories, 7 native delicacy makers, 2 sweet preserve processors, 25 sitsaron factories, 5 noodle factories, and 7 balot procuders.

Among the biggest food processors are JESS-NOR, Dunkin Donuts, DELFI, Integrated Food Manufactoring Corporation and Saporo Noodles Factory.
Agri-Support Activities
Industrial activities in Sta. MAria are mostly agro-based. For the past two decades, there has been a great boom in its poultry and hog raising industries. Presently, there are around 120 poultry and piggery farms.

The boost in agri-business necessitates the establishment of feedmills and feed trading centers. Now, there are eight commercial feedmills and 15 feed trading centers operating in the town.

There are 20 rice mills in Sta. Maria that accomodate the milling and storage needs of the farmers for their palay harvest. The ricebrunts (darak production) of these mills complement the feed requirements of the livestock raisers.
FURNITURE
Wooden, bamboo and rattan furniture are produced for export and for local market. Curently, there are 23 furniture making establishments in the town; 10 - rattan; one - bamboo; and 12 wood.
PYROTECHNICS
Aside from the major industries previously mentioned, there are other industrial establishment that can be found in Sta. Maria. Among them are one plastic, two kitchenware, three handicraft, eight woodcraft, three organic fertilizer, two styrophore, one slipper, two ink, one chemicl and one charcoal factories; two marble craft; and three engineering / machine, two upholstery, two goldsmith and seven jepp/tricycle body building shop.
