Sta. Maria has big public market operating daily with sundays as the "Tiangge" ot special market day. It has 90 stalls for fish, 18 stalls for chicken, 65 stalls for meat, 10 stalls for restaurants, and 144 stalls for dry goods.
At present, there are 1,825 registered commercial establishment located among the different barangays. Other community serving establishments like sar-sari stores provide merchandise for the daily needs of the folks.
Most of commercial establishment are situated or clustered around the Poblacion. These stores sell primary and luxurious commodities such as jewelries, footwear, clothes, textile, books magazines, appliances and groceries.
There are six (6) gasoline stations that render regular services to the motorist. Two of them are open 24 hours daily.
There are 29 banking institutions that serve the finacial needs of the residents of Sta. Maria. Twenty one (21) of the are commercial banks and 8 are savings and loan banks. The presence of these banks is a major indicator that Sta. Maria's economy is in the boom.
