The government health services and facilities are amply supplemented by the presence of private hospitals and clinics. There are 12 medical clinins, 2 are located in barangays and 10 in Poblacion. There also five private hospitals namely; St. MAry's General Hospital, Mendoza's General Hospital, Mateo's Diagnostic Clinic and Hospital, Ed & Tia Cruz Maternity & Surgical Hospital.
St. Mary's General Hospital and Mendoza's General Hospital are both located in Poblacion with more or less a combined capacity of 110 beds. They have 18 doctors, 49 nurses, 9 midwives, 6 med-techs, 4 x-ray technicians, 4 staff personnel, 5 pharmacist and 19 nursing attendant.
The Mateo General Hospital, a PHILHEALTH accredited hospital in Sta. Maria offer services and facilities as follow; Maternal and Child Care (Delivery & Pediatrics) Surgical, Neurological, Physical Theraphy, Medical, Family Medicine, Ultra sound, x-ray, ECG, etc.
Mateo's Diagnostic Clinic & Hospital and Ed & Tia Cruz Maternity & Surgical Hospital are in barangay Bagbaguin with combine capacity of 74 beds and having 14 physicians, 32 nurses, 10 nursing attendants, 4 midwives, 5 medical technicians, 3 pharmacist, 3 staff personnel and 4 x-ray techinicians.
San Vicente Maternity Hospital is newly establish maternity hospital in barangay San Vicente. It has 18 beds, 4 doctors, 1 nurse, 1 midwive, 1 med-tech and 1 x-ray technician.
Tere are 10 medical clinics, 24 drug stores, 8 optical clinics, 7 dental clinics, 3 maternity clinics & operating in the whole municipality.
